CHAPTER 5

After work that day , everyone was tired and was not in the mood of doing anything even talking and discussing about the day . Well , everyone except for me .  I was so happy . Yeah , you can guess, why ?

I met him and talked to him and everything . It is nice to know that someone from our previous college , our previous journey is here with you on the new one.

He seemed very cool and confident about everything like his new job and responsibilities . I hope he is okay and doing fine in medicine .

I mean , medicine department can be so hard sometimes given the fact that they have one of the 'khadoos' doctors ever .
I shouldn't be saying this but he is very strict and wants everything to be perfect . Because I know how much he scolded me when I was there  to ask him about some patient's file of my department and that too for the minor mistake.And then there is Arjun who always likes to do something which will, I don't know how but make him look cool .
Now , after thinking of these , I really, really hope he is fine.

I was standing in front of hospital's entrance debating whether to wait or leave as Tanu has messaged me that  she was going with Akash and I had basically no reason to wait for anyone .  But was thinking otherwise .

So, I waited for sometime . And after some time there he was . Tired, holding bunch of books and stetho.  He saw me staring at him and waved .

He got infront of me . " I thought you must have left ? " He said with a smile .
"Yeah , I was going to , but was waiting for Tanvi " " oh , let's wait then , by the way I am hungry , do you know some place where we can eat ? " He said leaving me to shock again.

Calm down Ananya , he just asking for food not asking you on a date.... Grow up , girl .

"Yeah , we can go to the canteen or back to the hostel , it's 8:30 nearly, dinner must be served by now " I said ... What did I just say? am I that stupid ?  ... He was asking to grap a bite with you and you .... Oh my god , go die , Anu .

" Okay , that's cool too , it's late either way , I think we should go home , I mean hostel" he said ... "but aren't you supposed to be waiting for Tanvi? "

"Oh no , she just  texted me that she will be going with Akash , so we can go now "
And we started heading for our hostel .

May be I should have gone with him for snack ... But this is his first day ... Doesn't he want to rest or something ? ... Yeah , but he said he is hungry ... Yup, you missed it ... should have taken the opportunity when it was on the table.

"So, they are together ? " He said suddenly breaking my trail of thoughts.
"Aaa, who ? Sorry what ?" I said
"Tanvi and Akash I mean? "
" Yeah ,they are , they were together before I got here so I don't know back of the story but Tanvi does like him so much , that I know for sure " I replied.
"She is your roommate , right ? Which department? " "Skin and yes she is my roommate "I said ...

We were just outside our hostel main entrance when he asked " do you have someone here?"  And I was like what ? What someone ? ...

"You mean boyfriend ? " ...he nodded
" No , I have alot of friends, colleagues here but no , I don't . " I replied feeling awkward .

Now , what am I supposed to say or do ... I have no idea ... Should I pop the question I was dying to ask him ? ... Or should I not .. I mean , leave it , why am I supposed to ask right ? ...but he asked me casually ,so why not? ... Should I ask about her or not ? Am I ready to listen to his still beautifully going love story ? Am I ready to know about her ?

" And you , things with Eesha going well  , how and where is she by the way ?" I said not meeting his eyes and continue to walking and  trying to be as casual as I can.

When he didn't reply I turned my back to see he was standing midway and was staring at me .

" Was this a joke , to tease me or you really don't know ? " He said sounding offended .

"What? Joke ? What are you saying ? What joke ? "

" Oh so being from same college , with same people , you don't even know that she dumped me at the starting of internship only? "

What ... I don't know that ... I didn't know that ... What ... Really ?... Oh my god ...

And when I tried to explain something to him he raised his hand and said "I need to go to my room and rest , I am tired and you must be  too ... Bye Ananya , good night " and with that he went inside .

I was standing  here  , thinking what just happened ?. I couldn't process a single thing but was sure I have made him think of somethings which he clearly doesn't want to remember .
