Alexia's POV:
"It's open!" I heard a deep voice call from somewhere in the house. Beck took my hand and turned the doorknob, pushing the door open. He placed his hand on the small of my back and gently led me inside ahead of him. My mouth dropped open and I gazed around me. We stood in a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase tha led to the upper floor. There was an open railed hallway at the top of the staircase that drifted off in both directions. Throughout the house the floor was a dark, dark hardwood. To our right there was a large dining room. The walls were a pale lavender and there was grand table, large enough to fit Beck's family. Exiting through the back of the dining room, I could see that one would reach two offices. Presumably, one for the Luna and the other for the Alpha.
My gaze continued to observe house, I spotted a large sunroom directly behind the staircase that was made entirely out of glass. A hallway to our left led to the kitchen. Beck guided me there, and I noticed the walls were painted a bright, pristine white. Stainless steel appliances decorated the kitchen and the cabinetry was painted a soft grey. On our way down the hall, i noticed the framed pictures that hung on the walls. Many were of Beck as a kid. Some of him grinning toothless on a white sand beach with goggles and a snorkel on. That must be their island in the Pacific. Others were portraits of his siblings from school. One was him at his graduation from Yale last spring. But out of all of them my favorite had to be the one of Beck about two years old laughing on his dad's shoulders. I could picture a little Beck running around this house, with his siblings laughing happily.
I stopped and smiled still studying the picture. Beck had kept walking towards the kitchen but stopped and turned in the doorway, noticing my pause as my head tilted up at the frame.
"What are you smiling at?" he murmured coming up behind me and resting his chin on my head. I didn't respond for a minute, but i pointed to the picture.
"You." i whispered, "you look so happy. You were adorable. I want that someday." He kissed my temple.
"Don't worry princess, we'll have that someday. And our kids will be even cuter than me."
"Where was this taken?" I wondered, noticing he was on a beach, but not the one in the Pacific. He studied the picture, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Hmmm I don't know. That might be at the beach house in Oregon." Oregon? That was just a state away, with us being in Washington state.
"Do you still go there?"
"Sometimes, not as often as before. We can go for a couple days if you'd like." He whispered in my ear.
"Really?" I said turning to look at him. He nodded and grinned down at me.
"Of course princess."
"I would love that." I said pressing my lips softly to his.
"Come on," he murmured. "Dad?!" he called out.
"In the kitchen son!" that deep voice responded. Beck led me down the hall and into the kitchen, where a tall man, in his mid fifties stood at the stove. He was quite muscular, and his light brown hair was peppered with silver. Despite not being Alpha anymore, immense power radiated off of him. I felt the familiar rush of nervousness and anxiety begin to flood over me, and Beck felt me tense. He stopped and turned me to face him. He kissed my forehead and held my face in his hands, rubbing his thumbs over my cheekbones. He pulled away and looked me in the eye, mouthing 'You're ok princess.' I nodded and felt relief flood me at his touch.
It was then that the man noticed our presence and turned, smiling at us.
"Hey son! How are you?" He said striding over and clapping one hand on Beck's back, while shaking his hand with the other. Beck's gaze flickered down and a confused smile spread over his face. I smiled and studied the two.
