'I've got children', 'I've got wealth.' This is the way a fool brings suffering on himself. He does not even own himself, so how can he have children or wealth?

As rain falls equally on the just and the unjust, do not burden your heart with judgments but rain your kindness equally on all.

With good will for the entire cosmos, cultivate a limitless heart: above, below, and all around, unobstructed, without hostility or hate.

The less you have, the less you have to worry about.

Like the mother of the world, touch each being as your beloved child.

Awake. Be the witness of your thoughts. You are what observes, not what you observe.

How wonderful! How wonderful! All things are perfect, exactly as they are.

People with opinions just go around bothering one another.

Don't indulge in careless behaviour. Don't be the friend of sensual pleasures. He who meditates attentively attains abundant joy.

Mind precedes all mental states.

This is the last chapter of the quotes. I have bonus chapters that you can read for inspiration. There are still many quotes that I did not include here because that would take a lot of chapters. My goal is to inspire you and make you happy and enlightened, nothing more.

I have other books here on Wattpad so I hope you can check them out. I write stories and poems about fantasy, spirituality, and philosophy. My novels aren't completed yet, only the short stories.

If you have questions or concerns, please give me a private message. I got many questions from some people about Buddhism because they are not familiar with it.

You can of course vote, comment, and share this book if you want.

Let me give you an inspiring poem. I didn't write this and I don't know the author, I just found it on PDF, so if you know the author, please tell me.

Words of Kindness

This is what should be done
Be the one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied.
Unburned with duties and frugal in their ways.

Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful,
Not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing
That the wise would later reprove.

Wishing: In gladness and in safety,
May all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be;
Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to-be-born,
May all beings be at ease!

Let none deceive another,
Or despise any being in any state.
Let none through anger or ill-will
Wish harm upon another.

Even as a mother protects with her life,
Her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart
Should one cherish all living beings:
Radiating kindness over the entire world
Spreading upwards to the skies,
And downwards to the depths;
Outward and unbounded,
Freed from hatred and ill-will.

Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down
Free from drowsiness,
One should sustain this recollection.
This is said to be the sublime abiding.

By not holding to fixed views,
The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,
Being freed from all sense desires,
Is not born again into this world.
I would be honored if you would
