Arc 1: Chapter Seven

Tryna find where your head is
But I'm losing myself in the process

Eugeo stops, blushing just a bit. He was sure this plan would defiantly work, especially with the upcoming trip Kazuto was planning. But this was for his friend...so it would be fine. Hopefully.

"Well you see..." Eugeo trails, still just a bit embarrassed.

"You and I...can go out to make him jealous,"

It takes Asuna a second to realize what he said, and as soon as she does she begins blushing aswell.

It wasn't a bad idea...in fact it was a pretty good one and she was sure it'd work but it'd be a bit embarrassing. There was just one downfall.

"What about Alice?" She questions curiously. As far as she knew, Alice and Eugeo were dating, and have been for almost two years now.

"Oh, Alice is actually the one who came up with this idea...we'll just say we broke up. Knowing how much we argue he'll probably believe it,"

Everyone seems to want us back together...badly. Asuna thinks to herself.

"I think...it'll actually work. Let's do it." She says, just as Kirito and Yui make their way over.

"Mommy! Let's go down the slide!" Yui says. Asuna turns towards her smiling daughter, standing up. "Alright," she says picking her up and walking over there.

"What were you two talking about?" Kirito asks, not missing the blush that coated both Asuna and Eugeo's face only a moment ago.

"I-it was nothing," Eugeo says quickly. He knew his friend was no dummy...well sometimes, but he knew he was able to catch on to atleast some things.

Two weeks has passed since then and both Eugeo and Asuna were now ready to take their plan to the next level.

The first step was to get Yui in their business. Knowing her daughter well, Asuna was sure if she saw Eugeo around their apartment that she would surely tell her dad.

Luckily, this week she was with Asuna, and with Eugeo coming over so frequently she knew Yui was sure to expect something. He was also coming over today.

"Mommy!" Yui says as she enters the car. Asuna smiles sweetly at her daughter, kissing her cheek before buckling her into her seat belt.

"How was school?" She questions as she begins driving.

"It was fun!" She says. They make it home around 30 minutes later.

"We should get dressed, Eugeo is heading over for dinner tonight," Asuna says as soon as they enter.

"Eugeo is coming over again?" Yui questions, tilting her head just a bit. "Yes...is there a problem with that?" Asuna asks her daughter who quickly shakes her head.

"No! I like Eugeo!" Yui says, running into her room to change without second thought.

Dinner went by pretty smoothly, and once Yui was asleep, Eugeo and Asuna decided to talk about the next phase of their plan.

"So do you think she'll tell Kiri- Kazuto?" Asuna asks. Eugeo smiles. "Defiantly. She'll be with him after today right? Kirito will probably be on my back shortly after that," Eugeo says.

"So what should the next step be?" Asuna asks him. "I'll handle that and tell you once I have everything prepared," he says.

After talking for a bit more, Eugeo heads home and Asuna places Yui in her own bed before changing her clothes and going into hers.

The next day Asuna woke up earlier than usual, around 4 am. She did still have to pack Yui's bag since she didn't last night. She packs up a week full of clothes, which was actually more than a week for since she was such a worrywart.

Once she was done packing it was already five thirty. She decides on making breakfast, which was bacon, eggs, and some muffins she had baked a few days ago.

Once she was done cooking, she wakes Yui up and bathes her before they eat together, and by that time it was already 7. Yui had to be at school by 7:30, and it seems right on time that Kirito rings the doorbell.

Asuna places Yui's back around her before opening the door. She hands her other back to Kirito, who takes it already knowing that it was Yui's clothes.

"Have fun and stay safe, okay Yui?" Asuna says, kissing her daughters forhead.

"Okay mommy! Take care of yourself too!" Yui says, kissing her mothers cheek. Yui been doing that since 2, but still, it always made Asuna's heart melt.

Asuna waves goodbye to both Kazuto and Yui as they leave, and that's when Asuna herself decides to get dressed for work. She decides on nothing fancy, just a red pencil skirt and a white blouse with black heels. She keeps her hair down, braiding up the sides per usual before grabbing her car keys and heading off.

"Did you have fun with your mom?" Kazuto asks Yui has he buckles her up in the car. He would take her to school and then head off to work. Too bad he didn't know asking that question was a bit of a bad move.

"Yeah! We had lots of fun! Mommy and Eugeo took me to the zoo too! Oh, and he came by to play board games a couple of times too!"

Kazuto remains cool, but on the inside, he was a bit confused. Eugeo and Asuna? What were they doing together?

Eugeo was like a brother to him, his very best friend so he was bound to be close to Yui, his daughter, but to Asuna...he never expected that. Did they have something going on?

"Is that the only thing he did with you guys?" Kazuto questions her.

"Well...we had dinner last night together," Yui says.

For him to be coming over so many times...there had to be something going on, but what? They weren't together were they?

"Have a good day, Yui," Kazuto says, waving goodbye to his daughter before driving off to work.

If they were together, what did that mean for him. He still liked Asuna...but he also liked Sinon. He couldn't have both, that was too selfish of him....

Now that he thought about it, was he treating Asuna as a rebound? Something he could go back to if he and Sinon broke up? He always thought she'd be single but even if her and Eugeo weren't dating there were still other men.

He needed to get her back...but who was to even say that she still liked him?

A/N: Reay trying to fit in two chapters a month. That's the most I can do for all of these loyal readers. Hopefully you all enjoyed today's Chapter.
Developing Kirisuna back together should happen shortly...maybe...?
