Half-past midnight your half-assed texts make sure
I keep crawlin' back for more
Know you didn't, but I'm hoping you lost your phone
Prolly with her but I'll act like I didn't know
I can't let it show, I want nothing more than to call you upAsuna didn't know what to feel, and she also didn't know why she'd kissed back. Maybe the sense of familiarity? Maybe even the faint sense of love still be there for him...but as the kiss got more intense, she knew this wasn't right.
"W-wait!" Asuna pushes him away from her, them both breathing heavily. "This isn't right..." she mumbles.
"It is," he looks her in the eyes right before kissing her again, and again, and again, before kissing her neckbone, leaving kisses and love bites all along her neck.
"Kirito stop!" She says seriously.
"You can't...we can't do this." She states, backing away from him just a bit.
"You have a girlfriend...and I think it's best you head on home to her." She sighs, and without giving him any choice she pushes him out of her house.
"Never realized that I was still in love with..." she mumbles as soon as he's gone.

The next day at work was...very interesting to say the least. Asuna and Kirito didn't talk other than when they shared the newest thoughts on their idea, and when Kirito came to pick Yui up for their daddy daughter day, they didn't say a word to eachother.
Now, Asuna was left by her self to soak up her own thoughts. She made a bath and sat there, thinking as to why Kirito would suddenly kiss her now all of a sudden.
She liked him...probably still loved him, but him and his girlfriend look really happy.
And now that she thought about it, how could she tell his girlfriend? She knew he wouldn't...but it didn't sit right on her conscious.
Just as that sudden thought crossed her mind, her phone rang, and it just so happened to be Kirito.
"Hello?" Asuna answers.
"Uhm, hey. Our boss just called us. He wants us to promote the game we're working on tonight at this party. He wants us both to go but I can go by myself if-"
"No, no, it's fine. I'll come," Asuna says, lying. She did not want to come but she couldn't leave everything up to him.
"Oh, okay, it starts at 8. I'll text you the directions. I'll also drop Yui off at Sugu's house." he says.
"That's fine, I'll see you then," she says before he hangs up.
Asuna sighs, finishing cleaning herself before getting out of the shower. She dries off and wraps her hair in a towel before walking to her closet.
This was business...but also a party. She goes through the closet, looking for anything nice to wear when her eyes land on a black dress. You could never go wrong with black. Classy and beautiful.
She puts it on along with some black heels before grabbing her keys and purse and heading out.
She heads to the directions, mentally cringing when she saw Kirito talking to some people. It wasn't that he didn't look good, he did, he always looked nice in a suit, it was the fact that this was...well, awkward.
Asuna takes a deep breath before going to his side. She was nervous as hell, but luckily they weren't really ever left alone together. The party was just finishing up when all of their coworkers decided that they wanted everyone to get together and take a few drinks in congrats for the game.
