Kartik and Naira are seen sitting on the bank of Yamuna river on a bale of hay, the reflection of Taj Mahal was visible on the waters of river Yamuna and shining in the moonlight adding to the purity of the moment.
Kartik and Naira are sitting their alone. They had made an excuse that they would just roam around while their siblings were busy in selecting photos for the wedding album.
There was just silence around. As it was a little late and night so now and then they could hear the sound and beeping of the traffic but the sound of the waves of Yamuna river surpassed the other interior sounds. They were just looking front, both seemed quiet but a hell lot of unsaid thoughts were going inside their minds.
This trip has been special for both of them...they both are going to remember it for lifetime because it was during this trip that they got to explore each other, know each other better, understand each other....they were no more strangers, they had become companions. All the moments spend during this trip were to be treasured forever....they were so pure and serene. From hesitancy and awkwardness to feeling comfortable and precious along side each other, their relation had travelled alot.
Naira decides to break the prevailing silence between them.
Naira: Kartik....
Kartik(gazing at the river): Hmm...
Naira: Hum samay ko rok kyu nhi sakte hain? Samay humare bas mein kyu nhi hota...
Kartik chuckles at her question. He knew she didn't want this trip to get over....even he wanted the same.
Kartik: Tumhare is sawaal ka jawab toh nhi hai mere paas Naira...lekin-
He spots a white lotus flowing in the water and coming towards them. He smiles and picks up the while lotus and holds it in front of her.
Kartik: Jese yeh lotus leheron ko paar karke humare paas aaya hai na? Waise hi acche din samay ki leher ko paar karke humare paas aate hain....(he pauses for sometime and blinks his eyes in disbelief)
Naira looks at him perplexed.
Kartik: Ye kesi kesi baatein kar rha hu main? Lotus...samay ki leher! Kitna ghatiya example diya hai mene! You can never expect something philosophical from me...I suck at this.
Naira laughs at him and places her palm under his palm. They look at each other and then at the lotus, finally pushing the white lotus towards the current of the river.
Naira(curiously): Kartik...jese Shah Jahan ne Mumtaz Mahal ke liye Taj Mahal banaya...aap mere liye kya kar sakte hain?
Kartik chuckles at her question and rubs his forehead.
Kartik: Woh toh jab samay aayega...tumhe pata chal jayega...
Naira smiles at him...she felt good that he didn't brag about anything like "main tumhare liye chaand taare todke lauga". He remained precise with his words and spoke truly.
Naira hugs him tightly and rests her head on his embrace, closing her eyes....a smile of satisfaction adorning her lips. Kartik smiles and wraps his arms around her petite figure, kissing on the top of her head.
They remained silent after that. They were just enjoying each other's company, feeling blissful and content.
Baatein toh hoti rahegi, lamhe banana zaroori hai.
Later night, everyone were sleeping soundly but Kartik not. The whole night Kartik couldn't be able to sleep properly, as soon he used to close his eyes, Naira's face flashes in front of him, that too not just face her smiling angelic face and also the flashes of what happened between them that just make him sit upright in shock.
