Jennie's POV

Interest him, and get his number.

That's exactly what I did.

Cringe. Big fucking cringe.

One thing I hate about men is their strong front but low-key girly and gay demeanour.

When I approached Nathan, there was a group of girls lingering around him. The previously slightly high-pitched voice he embraced was replaced by an obviously manlier one the moment he spotted me.

I'm guessing that happened, since he's never seen me before and he was trying to catch my attention by appearing all macho.

Or possibly set a good impression on me.

But what he didn't know was that what he did made him seem more feminine.

Gross.

Can't men just be... not men? Like please just anything else. If they be women, the world wouldn't have a distinct gauge between genders, so just be something else. Rid the idea of men.

But the idea of Lalisa Manoban? Hell, yes.

Just kidding, she acts like a man but the only difference is that she's a woman so she's an exception.

Without even having to do anything, flirting or whatsoever, that simp just simply gave his number all so willingly.

Well, score.

Definitely not the kind of man I would want to even hold hands with.

Oh, but definitely the kind of guy I would want to dump.

The next few days went simple, if it wasn't Nathan bugging the hell out of me, it would be me with my nonsense friends in the boot of Jisoo's oddly tiny mountain truck, sipping on soda and laughing things off like innocent girls.

Or it would be me and Lili rolling around in my bed, binge watching Netflix and being soft with each other.

Oh well, only to have her leave when her loser ex calls.

"I'll come back later okay? I promise." Lisa shift out of my bed as she reluctantly pulled our entwined hands away. She slipped on her boots by the door and grabbed her leather bomber like a teenage baddie.

She drives a motorbike by the way, which makes her so so so much more sexier.

A black motorbike.

The way she slurred her tongue around the cherry lollipop in her mouth has got my stomach churned for some reason.

"You said that yesterday, and you didn't come back." I glowered, "seriously Li? Why do you always have to leave when she calls? You're not her property."

"That was yesterday Nini, I got caught up with something." Her flickering eyes that refused to meet mine got me fumed.

"This time I promise, I'll be back before you know it." She assured, before moving to the bed where I was sprawled at and picking my hand in hers, kissing it delicately.

"Sorry cheesecakes, love you!" And with that, she bolt like lightning out the door.

What's there to be so urgent about even?

That Niki bitch.

"Whatever, scram, you idiot." I muttered to myself.

Okay. At least she did actually came back later tonight. Or else I would have slaughtered her with my expired condensed milk bottle. Which, by the way, smells like dead rats since I haven't had the time to throw it away.

Nah, I was just lazy to.

"Reminding you that it's going to be about a week since trying to get Nathan to fall under your spell." Lisa inquired, "I assume that's going well?"

"He's a simp for me. Did you see the way he came running with a milk smoothie when he saw me by the lockers?" I shook my head, "embarrassing."

"At least he's into you."

"That's what it seems like, but he still has his other whores around him all the time Li."

"Not surprising." Lili shrugged.

"What's the nicest thing he's done for you though?" She asked.

"Help me do my coursework, when he has his own to submit." I gasped only when remembering, "and it's a five-thousand word essay! Both!"

"Simp." She affirmed, making the both of us chuckle.

"But I would do that for you too." My Lili whispered, turning to stare at me like she hasn't seen me all day. All week. All month.

I rolled my feline eyes when I saw her smile turning into an annoying smirk.

"You've always been the biggest simp for me, anyways." I flaunt like it was the most natural thing to do.

"I'm not complaining." She nods.

It was getting late, so Lisa had to leave. Before she tidied herself up and got her stuff, she made her way to me and snuggled us close.

"Gotta go cheesecakes, see you tomorrow."

I flashed her my gummy smile. The same smile that was only reserved for her. Always only for her.

"One more week and we're going after Caleb."

But what I didn't know was that, she never went home that night.

She crashed at Niki's.

Well, that was until Jisoo told me that she saw Lisa's motorbike parked outside her ex's lawn.

Her damn ex's lawn.
