~Bethany's POV~:
I got back to my grandma's house and got ready for work. I put on a red long sleeve and some khaki shaded pants. I hate this uniform so much but I need to wear it if I want to keep my job. I then put my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my purse.

I waved goodbye to my grandma before exiting the house. I got in and drove to work as usual. I had to work about five hours today I think so I'll be here till around 8. The hours flew by as I worked behind the cashier counter. Some people were kind and talkative, others not saying much. It was nearly the end of my shift when my next customer walked up to me. It was Connor.

"Hey Beth. I didn't know you worked here, or that you even had an actual job..." His words hurt a little as he kind of referenced the whole slut thing. I'm done with that now. It's over.

"Hey Connor. Sorry that I'm like all teenagers who need to earn some money...at least I'm not going around blaming people for things they didn't do." I was referring to what happened between him and Sasha earlier in the day.

He froze at my words and looked a little confused; "What are you talking about?"

I continued to scan his things, mostly groceries, as I talked; "What happened between you and Sasha earlier today? I'm guessing she wasn't just mad that I was around right? She had to have a reason for lashing out at me and for crying like someone who had their heart ripped out." I finished scanning and bagging Connor's items as he looked at me, not saying a word.

"Beth...look..." He stammered, not being able to finish. I knew he blamed me. I did nothing with him. Nothing. Never. He has no right to go and blame me for him losing interest in that bîtch. "Beth. I didn't say we did anything. Okay? I just told her I was tired of hearing her complain about how you were going to take me away from her...it was getting annoying."

I raised an eyebrow at him, not sure how to respond. He looked back at me expecting some reply. "That'll be $35.27." I said back, looking him in the eyes.

"Beth please...I'm sorry she got mad at you. She shouldn't. We didn't do anything like she thinks we did. She's just assuming things now."

I turned away, "I get it Connor. I just need you to give me $35.27." He used a credit card and I finished his payment, glad to be done with the work day. Connor walked away without another word. I left my station and grabbed my things, I can finally go home. It's been a long day...

~Connor's POV~:
*Flashback*
I left the school and went to my car. I told Sasha to meet me there once school ended. She was already waiting for me.

"Hey babe." She chirped, placing a small kiss on my cheek. "So why'd you want me to meet you here?"

I got nervous. I feel terrible for doing this here...for doing it now. "Umm..." I hesitated, scratching the back of my neck nervously. I just have to do it. I just have to say it. "Sasha I'm breaking up with you..." Her smile faded and she looked angry, then sad, then a mixture of both.

"What! Wait...why? Why are you doing this Connor?!?!" Tears slid down her face quickly. She was biting her lower lip as she looked up, trying to stop the tears from falling.

"I really liked you Sasha...a little while ago. It's gotten to the point where I don't like hanging out with you anymore. It's just that every time we're together you complain about Bethany...you think she's going to take me away from you. I'm sick of hearing that...she did that once by accident. You're so focused on your paranoia of something that will never happen with me, or with anyone. Beth is actually not that bad of a person and you really hurt her Sasha..." My confidence had raised, I was surprised at my own words.

She just shook her head and laughed coldly, "You see? Right there is why I get so paranoid about Beth. You actually like her. You...you don't get it!" She stopped talking, looking over to her side. "Wait is that...no way!!! Bethany!!!" She screamed, heading towards Beth who was hurriedly getting in her car. She gave me a pained look as she drove away from my crazy ex-girlfriend.

Sasha ran back over to me and slapped me hard against my cheek. The pain spread like a wildfire across my face, I held my hand up to my cheek. This is going to leave a mark...I guess I deserve it though. "You're an ass! Stay away from me! I never want to see or talk to you again!!!" She spat, turning away from me and racing over to her car.

I slowly got into mine and realized what I had done. God I'm an idiot.
