"We already thought of a name for you!Wanna hear it?"

"Yes!" Everyone waits curiously for our manager to reveal the name.

"We thought that Monsta X would be very suitable for you. Let me explain. You all have big potential and come over very powerful especially with Kihyun's strong vocal and Jooheon's aggressive style of rap you guys could really pull off the 'monster' concept. Since you'll be debuting as a hip hop group we believe that this name would fit very well. Aside from that, we made up a little something, the 'X' stands as everyone knows for a variable, something unknown. We thought that the 'X' could stand for Hyejin, since she is the only female member, she' s different and unknown but still connected with all of you. This could be great for future music videos too. What do you think?" Manager Chanwoo seems very excited about the whole concept.

I gotta be honest, I really like it as well. It sounds very interesting.

"Hmm I think I really like it." I nod

"Me too, I like the fact that the name is connected with the members." Kihyun adds.

Everyone agrees.

"Okayyy. Seems like we officially have a name." He cheers excitedly "Next up the positions of each member." Manager Chanwoo points to the board next to him.

"We spend a lot of time with the positions, we reviewed your performance on No mercy and also the footage of the monthly evaluations we did. I also brought the contracts you can sign them right away." He hands all of us a a few sheets of paper.
"You can read it again if you want to but I'll sum up some of the most important things in the contract. First rule is very obvious: dating is strictly forbidden. In of outside of the group, it's in all cases forbidden until we remove the dating ban. But even if we remove the ban you won't be allowed to date each other, I hope you'll never forget that." The Manager looks at us strictly.
"Next, you won't posses a phone until you get #1 on one of  the main music shows. The reason for that is very simple, so that you can focus more on your career instead of anything else."
I gasp, I know it's for us to focus but what will we do in a case of emergency? And how will I stay in contact with Soonyoung?

"You seem to be a little skeptical, Hyejin. Please know that this is for your own good."
Our manager apparently noticed my worried look.

"But what are we going to do in a case of emergency?" I ask bringing up my concerns.

"There will always be someone around you and we will provide Tablets. After all we don't want you to live in Stone Age, that's not the purpose of this."
He nods at me with a reassuring smile and even though I'm still not fully convinced I decide to trust our manager and the company.

"Next topic would be the dorm. Your current dorm was for the shooting of 'No Mercy', but now that the group is formed you will move to another dorm. It won't be any bigger but there will be a kitchen, which is very essential she nice you can't always eat outside."

"That means we'll live together with Hyejin?" Hyungwon asks

"That's correct Hyungwon." Chanwoo confirms.

"But you didn't even ask her if she's okay with living together with 7 guys."

"Hyungwon oppa, don't worry I'm okay with it. We already talked about this yesterday. You know I'm fine with that." I shrug

He looks a little thrown off "But what about you parents? Are they okay with it?"

"Meh, I'm old enough to make my own decisions."

"You see Hyungwon, there is no problem from Hyejin's side. By the way your debut will be in March, so we've got a lot to prepare." He casually states.

"Wow, so soon?" Minhyuk excitedly asks.

"Yes, please try to get as close as possible with each other during the whole preparation phase. We want to show the fans good teamwork and funny moments between you guys." He pauses for a second

"Talking about... funny moments. Changkyun and Hyejin, we saw the video of your nice little conversation in the last episode of 'No Mercy'."

Shit. I was expecting this but shit. While most of the members look at us with a confused expression, Hyungwon rolls his eyes obviously annoyed that this topic was brought up again.

"For your own sake we won't put it into the last episode. There surely will be enough controversy without that clip, we don't want to make it worse. But please be more careful with what you're talking about on camera, alright?"

"Yes, manager-nim." Me and Changkyun reply at the same time.

"Have you all signed the contracts? Then please give them to me."
All of us hand him the sheets of paper we received a few minutes ago.

Now we are officially Monsta X.

A/N:
I thought about including the fact that Wonho was the leader till one day before debut, but since no one really knew why they changed to Shownu and because of the fact that I'll probably make a time skip to their debut day anyway, I didn't include it.
Also I will try my best to make the story more interesting as soon as possible. I'm quite aware of the fact that there hasn't happened a lot yet. But I planned some interesting things to happen very soon.
