UnOrdinary: Avarice

Chapter One: Machiavellian

Doctor: "Congratulations young man!" the doctor excitingly screams, "You have a condition known as Biauralplaisia! You have two abilities!"

Emilia: "GOD DA- "my mother stutters, "Gosh darn, pardon my language doctor."

Doctor: "Its quite alright madame. Anyone would've been as excited as you if they found out their loved ones had two abilities. Unfortunately, there is a minor downside to this, Elian here is more likely to contract severe aura related disorders and cannot overuse his ability- his two abilities. We will have to screen him once a year for such disorders and damage from now on."

The doctors massive grin merely subsided slightly; he was clearly still excited as he continued to talk to my mother about my new condition.

Doctor: "This only happens to one in three million people around the entire globe! You are very lucky young man! You will likely become a god-tier easily once your second ability manifests." He says with his thick Slavic accent.

The doctor is wearing an ordinary doctors' gown, with two pens in his front pocket. One pen is red, while the other is black. The doctor has faint blond and slicked back hair. He has light green eyes and some small freckles. My mother did say he was a solid 8/10 on the drive over, so I'm assuming most people find him attractive.

My mother was in a white and blue stripped summer dress. She had pink hair with wine-red eyes. She wore a silver necklace which had a prominent blue sapphire incrusted in the middle. She also wore blue earrings and a silver ring around her middle finger. She wore jet-black, glossy high heels. She was twenty-seven but "looked like she was twenty-four" as she said.

I wore a red t shirt that had toonie letters stitched onto it. It has yellow letters on it that say "funky monkey". I also had khaki brown shorts on, with tiny little tied blue shoes. I'm proud to say I knew how to tie my shoes since I was a mere three-year-old. I'm also 'smol' as my mother says.

The walls were teal green, similar to, but darker than the doctor's pupils, I simply laid on the grey medical table with the disposable paper sheet over it and stared up to the wooden tiled white roof.

Doctor: "Your first ability is already known to you, correct?"

Emilia: "Yes, his body regenerates faster than average, any cut marks on his body, even large ones, will be healed completely, without any scarring or permanent damage, within a few seconds, to a few minutes depending on how big they are."

The doctor took out a grey device that looked like a bar code scanner. He pointed it at me.

Doctor: "Look into the glass and look directly at the red dot for five seconds Elian."

I did as he says.

"BEEEEEEEEEP" said the barcode scanner

It scared me, I didn't expect it to make such a loud noise. The doctor chuckled a little when he saw me jump.

The doctor then looked at his computer which displayed some long words, and a number: 1.9.

Doctor: "Your ability will be called 'super-regeneration' for now. I suspect your ability will be able to regenerate any small group of tissue in your body quickly. When your second ability manifests, make sure to come back here immediately."
