*sigh*...this song is so Serkan. Story after lyrics...

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time

Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you

Maybe I'm amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time

And hung me on a line

Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man

Who's in the middle of something

That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman

Who could ever help me

Baby won't you help me understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man

Who's in the middle of something

That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman

Who could ever help me

Baby won't you help me understand

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time

Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song

Right me when I'm wrong

Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Serkan stabbed at the red phone icon with his finger to end the call and threw his phone across the table. He'd called Eda a hundred times and heard the same message every time--She wasn't available, especially not to him.

The same thought that had been scrolling through his mind since Eda left his office four days before came back again to taunt him. I fucked up. I fucked up so bad. He pounded his fist on the table. I've lost her.

Before everything blew up around him, he had shown Eda a piece of himself that he'd never shown to anyone else. And then for the next two days she ignored him and he didn't get it.

How could she avoid him after he'd played his guitar for her? After that hug they'd shared? He felt so close to her, and she'd treated him with indifference and distance. Her behavior had confused him, especially after the intimacy of that night. The only way he knew to regain control was to lash out.

His outburst was surefire self-sabotage for the sole purpose of self-preservation.

"Uhh..Serkan bey? Are you free?" It was Melo. She was carrying a stack of file folders in her arms.

A light flickered on in Serkan's eyes at the sight of Eda's best friend. "Melo! No, not interrupting. Come in, please."

She looked unsure, but she came in anyway. "Selin Hanım needs your signature on these." She laid the folders in front of him on the table and handed him a pen.

"Sure. No problem." Serkan opened the first folder and signed the first document. "So, Melo, I know you and Eda have been friends for a long time."

He looked up at her and she was fidgeting, playing with the tie on her blouse. She nodded in confirmation.

"I hope you know how sorry I am for what I did to Eda. I know I'm the last person you want to see, but I really want to apologize to you and the girls for hurting your friend. I know how much you love her and how protective you are of her. I was wrong, and I treated her unfairly."
