When Doofenshmirtz informed Phineas he would be gone for a few days, Phineas told Agent P. as soon as he came to the window, as well as writing it in his letter.

When Perry came the next day, he showed him a phone where Phineas had his first conversation with Major Monogram, who invited him to leave the tower and visit the real world for the time Doof was gone.

“What!”

“Shh,” Monogram said. “Calm down. Agent P, Ferb amd or Isabella will be with you the entire time. You trust them, right?”

Phineas nodded.

“Then we can assure that you will be completely safe.”

Phineas still didn’t seem so sure, “I know that the world isn’t as terrible as father told me, but even they admitted it wasn’t completely good.” Phineas was hugging his sketchbooks since it was the closest thing other than Perry himself.

“Don’t worry Phineas, we’ll have your safety be our first prior—”

“Phineas?” The door opened and everyone began to freak out. “Who are you talkin— Perry the Platypus!”

Phineas froze in fear while Perry went straight into action. He knocked over one of the shelves, confusing Doofenshmirtz long enough for him to gather the remaining sketchbooks, a few random normal books, and better art supplies belonging to Phineas before pulling them and the boy himself onto his hover car, flying off.

Neither of them missed, however, the unmistakable sound of the Dr. yelling out, “Curse you Perry the Platypus!”

Perry stopped to a hover a good ways away from the building to help calm Phineas down who was verging on a panic attack.

Perry let out his signature chatter, getting Phineas’ attention before causing the human to have a better grip on his sketchbooks to help ground him.

A few minutes and many deep breaths later, Phineas was calm enough for them to continue flying while talking to the major who informed someone else of the situation while Phineas was freaking out.

“Well, change of plans Agent P. Bring Phineas to the park. Montey will be there waiting for you to take him to Ferb’s house.”

“I get to meet Ferb?!” Phineas asked, excited.

“Yup!” Monogram confirmed. “I’ll inform them of the situation immediately. Good luck. Monogram out.”

The phone went black as Monogram signed off so Perry made his way to Danvil park. Making sure to not go faster than what he was sure Phineas would be comfortable with.

Upon arriving, Phineas looked down at the grass, eyes wide as if not believing he was actually able to not only see it up close, but by how he was breathing deeply, smell it as well. When Perry got out of his craft, it only then seemed to dawn on the child that this was also the day he would be able to touch the natural green carpet.

Perry and Montey, the latter not yet noticed by the curious child, looked on in amusement as he slowly reached out his hand, poking the blades then placing the hand down stroking it.

‘Thank goodness no one else is here,’ Perry couldn’t help but think as the child continued to test the grass. Poking, petting, and pulling.

It took a bit before Phineas stood, lifting a bare foot and hesitating just over the green before he had the courage to rest it down on the firm floor.

A huge smile came on his face as he placed the other foot on the grass of the park.

Then the two were surprised to see a tear of joy come down the boy's face. “I never thought this moment would come,” he confessed, smile still present, “Perry, isn’t this—” it was then he noticed Montey and terror came over his face before he fell back, begging not to be hurt while covering his face.
