"She won't pick up." Tobi said to Sabra from the phone booth. After Nailah had taken them to the capital of West Country, they bought train tickets directly to Northeast district.

They were still a bit far from Firash city, but the journey had taken all day, and so they had lodged in a hotel. Nailah had told them to call her once they got to Firash city, but Tobi had decided it'd be better to let her know the progress they had made so far. They had decided to lay low and travel only at night so Tobi wouldn't be easily identified as a fugitive.

"Try it again!" Sabra yelled at him.

"I already tried five times. Courtesy demands that after two tries, you should try again later." said Tobi which only intensified Sabra's frustration.

Exasperated, she stormed across the road towards a gas station. Since they arrived in North east district, so far, there had been no incidence of anyone recognizing Tobi and he intended on keeping it that way.

"Where are you going?" Tobi called after her.

"We need to get a map genius. A gas station would most likely have one."

She stormed through the gas station, ignoring the attendants as she stormed into the cafeteria beyond. Tobi followed as she approached the counter.

"Welcome to Griggs's restaurant, what would you like." said the young male attendant.

Tobi's heart sank as he noticed a newspaper page on the wall behind the attendant. Among various mug shots of wanted criminals was a sketching of himself - the same one Nailah had shown him - and this time, there was a phone number to call under it in case he was seen. He had tried as much as possible not to look like the sketching by hiding his cloak in Sabra's back pack, but there was no way to hide his sword as it remained in its sheath across his back.

"We'd like to see your map please. We're kind of new here and we need to find the nearest train station." said Sabra.

"Oh right, coming right up." he said as he turned around to grab the map on the wall right next to the newspaper.

Please don't let him look at the paper!
Please don't let him look at the paper!

Tobi prayed silently, as the man turned around and brought down the map in front of Sabra.
"There you go. Say, you look familiar. Have you been around here before?" he asked Tobi.
Tobi's heart skipped a beat as he realized the question was directed at him.

"Er..."
He couldn't seem to get a word out.

"He's a bounty hunter. He's been to so many places for different jobs. He's probably been here before." said Sabra, indicating his sword.

Only bounty hunters were allowed to carry weapons around in the open.

"Oh! Makes sense... I guess." the attendant seemed unconvinced.
That was a dangerous move Sabra had just made.

What if he asked to see a licence?
The attendant's eyes widened as if in sudden realization.

"OK well be taking our leave now. Thank you very much" said Tobi as they casually backed away, towards the exit. The attendant looked a bit tense now. He tried to look casual as he turned around and picked up the phone on the wall.

Oh crap! He knows. Thought Tobi.

Sabra quickly reached for the counter, snatching the map and running out the door pulling Tobi along with her. They dashed through the gas station and started along the long dark road, lit only by street lights.
