I lie here awake, thinking of all the games I played.
Daniel's POV:
I walk through the halls crowded with students coming from different classes. We just got pulled out, and I was looking for Madelaine because we're going to have a sleep over later at her house. I know we've done that so many times. But base on what happened recently between us, makes things different. I guess I was busy thinking about her as I was not looking, I bump into Cassie.
"Sorry" I said while walking away.
"Daniel wait"
I stopped and turned around.
"Can we talk?"
I nodded and she gave me a small smile. I followed her at the field and sat on one of the bleachers. It's been weeks since we broke up, and we haven't talked everything through.
"I'm sorry if I did what I did, I didn't mean for you to find out in that way" She said while looking out the field.
"It's okay, I know it's not working anyway" I said while eyeing out the field.
"I was about to tell you and-"
"It's okay, it's already done. We can move on now" I said with a chuckle.
We stayed quiet for a while until she began to spoke up.
"I know she likes you"
I turned to her and raised her an eyebrow. As she gave me a knowing look, "I may be your ex, but I know from the very start that you guys are meant to be together. I really just had that crush on you that's why we ended up together in the first place. I really thought she would get mad at me for it. But you're lucky that she loves me and that you don't have to deal with anything. I love that woman"
I rolled my eyes, "So you're saying that you know, all along that she likes me?" She nodded, "And you said you love her? Yet as far as I can remember she doesn't know that you're seeing someone else, I'd feel betrayed if I were her" I smirked as I began to tease her.
"Hey! I was about to tell her when my pictures got flooded" She said as she sighs.
We went silent once again, until I began to spoke up.
"I'm sorry if I ever treated you any less of a girlfriend" I said looking down at her.
"What're you saying? You've been an amazing boyfriend Daniel. And I know whoever gets to be with you will be lucky as hell to have you in their life" She said bursting out laughing.
"But I treated her bad recently, it's just then that I get to show her how important she is. Many things happened for the past 3 months you know" I said as I chuckled.
"Well now that you are single. Nothing's standing on your way, just show her everyday that she's special. And when the time is right. Ask her out, I'll support ya" She said looking up at me with a smile on her face. I smiled back and gave her a hug.
"You're such a great ex Cas" I said while laughing. "Oh I know Seavey"
"Hey Daniboi!" Madelaine said while panting as we pull out. "I've been looking everywhere for you! Oh hey Cas!" Madelaine said while giving Cassie a hug.
"How are you babe?" Cassie asked while hugging her back.
"I'm great, how about you?"
"I'm great as well. I gotta go Dani, Madi. Nick just texted me, bye lovebirds!!!" Cassie said walking away with a smirk on her face.
