Chapter 8

I fell forever in a day, till you walked away. Because of the words I didn't say.

Daniel's POV:

I woke up with my alarm going off, I look at the time and it was already 6am. What the? I slept all through the night? I sighed as I took in what happened yesterday. I went to church, and I ate lunch with the Herrons. What else did I-? Oh no. I took my phone, no missed calls from Madelaine. She must be upset that I left her in the dust again. I got up and bring up the blinds and took a sneak peek at her window. Okay she's already at school coz her car is gone. Oh great. Daniel what is wrong with you? I sigh and walked to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I picked out a white t-shirt and some black ripped skinny jeans. I put in my white Nike's, and I took my bag, keys and phone and head downstairs. I need to make up with Madelaine if I'm going to ask her to prom. I sighed and took a granola bar from the fridge. Everyone might already be outside. I left and locked the house, and head straight to my car and drove to the nearest Starbucks to buy Madelaine her favorite coffee. It's a white cappuccino with 3 pumps of creamer. The coffee is less than the milk, I know. I still made fun of her for that. Once I got the coffee, I took out a yellow sticky note and write out the words 'I'm sorry' at the front. I sigh, I hope this works.

As I arrived at the school grounds. I hopped off the car and locked it, and head straight to her locker to give her the coffee. When I got there, she was standing alone putting in her stuff. I walked towards her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around and looked up raising me an eyebrow. God she's so gorgeous.

"What do you want?" She asked, crossing her arms above her chest.

I gave her the drink and she took it. She sighed, "You broke your promise" She said just staring at the coffee.

"I know, and I should've known better not to do it again" I said still looking down at her.

She looked up, "It's the 5th time around" She said smirking.

I pursed my lips and moved my bag up. "I'll make it up, I promise"

"It's not a false alarm anymore, is it?"

"No, I swear" I said pulling out my pinky.

She took it and gave me a small smile, "You know, I have to be up all night in able to finish those decorations"

"I'm really sorry, I took a nap and fell asleep all through the night" I pout as I gave her a hug. She hugged back and giggled.

"What did you even do to get so sleepy like that?" She asked closing her locker and moved her bag to her shoulders.

"I don't know" I laughed as we walked.

She began to bit her bottom lip and took a sip of her coffee. I raised her an eyebrow, she looks up about to say something until the bell rang.

She sighed and finished her coffee, "Thank you for the coffee, you don't know how much I needed that. I'll see you at lunch?" she said looking up at me as she throws the cup in the bin.

"Sure, I'll see you later" I gave her a hug and waved goodbye and head to class.

Madelaine's POV:

I walked through the halls and into the cafeteria. I haven't told Daniel about me and Brandon since I'm too scared to even say anything. Brandon's at the hospital to pick up her sister so he'll go by right know at lunch. I sighed as my mind goes back to our conversation yesterday.
