I let you wait, hundreds of promises that I never made.

Madelaine's POV:

I sighed as I look up at the stop light, me and Daniel have been normal recently. Even if it still hurts me that the fact that he only saw me as his best friend. Well what else would he saw me as? God Madelaine. I didn't think much of that video, and I didn't bother to even ask him about it. Thinking that it'll only cause drama, which I've had enough for the past 5 months. I invested all of my time on my studies, the finals that will be held in less than a month. The prom that will happen in 2 months. We already discussed on what will be the colors, we decided on royal blue and gold. And we're also working on the tickets, the sound system and all that. I took a turn to Tate's house. Me, her and Corbyn are part of the student council. Corbyn is the Vice President, surprised? No? Okay. And we're going to be talking with the sound system that Corbyn suggested. We've been busy with Florists, DJs, and Food Caterers for the past 3 weeks.

Valentine's is at Tuesday and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life at that time. I guess I'll be third wheeling, or at least try to avoid couples and just watch horror movies on my own. I pulled up at Tate's and knock at the door, surprised to see Jonah open it for me. I walked in and Christina was there too. Great.

"Guess I'll be double third wheeling. Valentine's is not till Tuesday, and y'all are giving me a head start" I rolled my eyes while entering the living room as I plop down on a bean bag chair across the room.

"Why not ask Daniel to be your Valentine?" Corbyn asked.

"Oh please, not again"

"Why are you guys still not together anyway?" Tate asked.

"I'm here for a meeting, we're not gonna talk about Daniel" I said as I pulled my knees closer to my chest.

"Why?" Jonah asked as he gave me a smirk.

"Just no" I shrugged, pulling my bag and taking out a notebook.

"Guys let her be" Christina said chuckling while on her phone.

"Fine" Corbyn said as he scooted closer at the table.

"So who is this guy that you suggested that we talk to regarding to the sound system?"

We talked about the prom and the little Valentine's program for what seems like hours. I was heading home and I took a quick stop at McDonalds since I got hungry. I arrived at my house and head straight to my room, and pushed myself at my bed and pulled my phone out and go through Instagram when my brother's name popped on my screen.

"Hello?"

"Hey Madi!"

"Hey Lan! Why'd you call?"

"Can't I call my little sister and ask how she was doing? I heard that prom's almost there in 2 months, has someone asked you yet?" I can feel my older brother's smirk from the other side of the line.

I rolled my eyes, "No, no one has attempted to ask me. Since we haven't posted anything about it yet"

"Why?"

"Because we're not done? We've thought about posting about it after Valentine's day" I said rolling over my bed.

"Who do you think's gonna ask you?"

I raised my eyebrows, "Is that an insult? Or a question?"

"Both" He said laughing at the other line.
