This time I'm on something different. Let me show you why, for real.

Madelaine's POV:

So today is Daniel's 18th Birthday! My little man's all grown up. I thank my lil planner and our huge calendar. Coz without it, I would've forget. Fuck my schedule. I CAN'T MISS MY BEST FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY!

Me, the gals, and the guys have been planning a surprise party for him for weeks. And now we're decorating Daniel's backyard, while Anna together with Christian and Tyler took him for breakfast, they just got home from Uni yesterday as they surprised Daniel when we got home. Keri and Jeff are out to get the ingredients for food. While my parents are out to get more stuffs for the decorations, and Cara is at her friend's house. I texted Daniel to meet me at my house, coz we don't want to spoil the surprise. What's the sense of making him think that we're too busy to even remember, when he already knows before we even surprise him?

I put on the last fairy light at a branch as my phone goes off, signaling that I've received a new text.

Dani🦒: Where are you?

Madz🐖: I'm at Walmart to fetch some stuffs. Feel free to eat my watermelon at the fridge :)

Dani🦒: I'm glad that it's okay with you.

Madz🐖: What?

Dani🦒: Nothing

Madz🐖: You're weird

Dani🦒: Your weird (;

I chuckled as I realized that I just lied. I walk to the tables and started on picking up the plain brown table cloths, and placed them all one by one at each table.

"Where's Dani now?" Jonah asked coming from inside, carrying a foldable table.

"He's already at my place" I said looking up, as I was fixing the length of the cloth's sides.

"I think you should go before he even bothers to go here" Jack said, while putting balloons at a wire.

"Yeah, I think I should. See you guys!" I said while walking back inside, as I heard faint responses back.

I checked the front, to see if the coast is clear. When it is, I slowly opened the door and ran across our front yard and into our door. I opened it, and walked up the stairs and into my room. There seated on my bed, Daniel with my watermelon half eaten. I smiled at the sight, he looks so adorable. He looks up from the watermelon to me as he gave me a kiddie smile. He is so happy with watermelons. I said to myself as I mentally face palmed. I walk towards him and sat beside him as I gave him a hug. He places the watermelon on the side so he can hug me back. We stayed like that for a few seconds until he began to spoke up.

"You said you are at Walmart?" He asks not pulling away.

"Yup" I said as I pop the letter 'P'.

"But why is your car here?" He asked, now pulling away with his single eyebrow raised.

"I walked" I said as I shrugged.

I stood up and face him, "Let's go"

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere. I'm actually planning on taking you to dinner at 4, but since we have 2 more hours. I'm taking you somewhere" I said as I start on pulling up his hands for him to stand up.
