A child ran away from a chaos filled town and looked up with fear, watching the building he once called his home crumble before his very eyes. People ran and screamed all around, trying to escape from the terror that had been draped upon them. Cars crashed, police sirens whined, and buildings were aflame. Tears began to drip down the child's face as what was happening finally registered in them.

"..Did I do this?" He said, shaky.

Not even 5 minutes ago, he was playing a board game with his foster family. At the age of 6 he already lost his parents to an accident only he managed to survive, and was forced into an orphanage with people so horrible it left a scar, yet more physically than mentally. And the moment he was finally supposed to be happy at the age of 9, he..

"Come on, it can't be that bad!"

The boy looked up at their new sibling. They smiled. "I'm sure your luck isn't that bad, it's probably just a bunch of odd coincidences that something bad happens whenever you roll dice!"

They took his hand and put a single die in it. He looked at it nervously, shakily, but nodded anyway. "..Alright, but treat me to McDonald's if something bad happens, okay?" The two laughed. "Of course!"

He looked down with the die in his hand and rolled a 6.

..And that 6 led us to where I- no, we are now. He thought. He looked at the blood on his hands from when he tried to pull his foster parents out from under the rubble.

He fell on his bottom and sat there in devastation for a long time, not even hearing the voices of the people around him telling him to run, stumbling as the ground shook violently. It was only when a random stranger pulled him out of harms way when a part of a fallen part of a building was about to crush him that he woke up.

"KID, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! RUN! RUN TO SAFETY!"

Kenshin Hasegawa blinked and nodded, running. To where, he had no idea.

He was blinded by tears as he ran down the street, dodging cars and desperately trying to escape from the destruction, the shitshow of a catastrophe that looked and felt like the end of the world. He yelped, tripping on a rock.

He cried, trying to get up; but he sprained his ankle. He looked up and saw a small group of people walking by like this disaster wasn't such an anomaly or terrorizing thing to them. In fact, it looked like they.. pitied those around them, but couldn't help. Their eyes passed by him, and he took the chance.

They were foreign and he couldn't speak English well, but there was no time for proper grammar here.

"PLEASE HELP ME!"

They looked at him in shock. He cried, panting, hoping they'd come to save him. He could barely even hear what they were saying over all the noise.

"..Bruh how the shit is he able to see us??"

"..Is he dead already??"

"No, he doesn't look like it- ..But then again, we're [REDACTED], yet we still look like regular old mortal assholes"

The one with a tiny hat hummed. "Mmmaybe he's dead and just doesn't realize it?"

"I- Oh my fucking-"

The one with a tiny hat walked over him and helped him up, seemingly not affected by the shaking of the land. Once stood up, Kenshin thanked him, bowing repeatedly despite having a hard time with the earthquake and an injured ankle..

"Arigato, arigato gozaimasu!"

The man didn't understand what he was saying but felt like he was saying thank you. "You don't need to thank me, you're already dead! I hope you go to heaven, if you don't.. You can come to the castle to stay with us!"

Kenshin looked at him like he just told a living child they were dead- oh wait, never mind, the madlad really did. The shortest one in their group, a girl wearing a plain purple hoodie walked up to them. "Jesus fucking fuck, Marso.. I don't think he's actually dead."

"Oh."

Another boy with blue hair rolled his eyes and walked over too, followed by a pair of.. identical- mirror.. Yeah I'm just gonna leave it at twins. Who actually understands everything about twins anyway?

"Marso, I was joking about him being dead"

The tall Marso blinked and let out a breathy, awkward laugh. "..O-oh..m.. My apologies!" He smiled and nodded at the child he just assumed was dead. "I shouldn't have assumed-"

"No, it's okay Marso, we can't really be sure if he's dead or alive unless we check, anyway." Sev assured him, before turning back to Kenshin. She reached over to his arm.

"Wait, we should prolly take him somewhere safer in case he is alive, shouldn't we??" The twin with green eyes butted in. His brother nodded. "Yeah, we don't need to think he's alive here only for him to die here too,"

"..ok yea good point; Where should we go?"

"I don't know, where we were supposed to go?" Kotsu glared at the twins. Damu laughed awkwardly, looking away and pulling at the front of his shirt while Dee cleared his throat, also looking away. They accidentally brought them to the wrong place and time. They were supposed to go to the mall out of boredom.

Sev sighed and Damu moved quickly to pick Kenshin up on his back, just as a car was about to hit him. It hit a lamp post instead, and they all had to move away as it nearly hit them. Kenshin bit his lip, scared and worried if the bad luck would continue following him, but not knowing how to tell the people he was with.

When he came up with words to try and say, it was already too late, and they had walked through a door to somewhere else..

Somewhere very far.

Hey wait, Obama's still President here-

"Beikoku??!!"
