Layla brooks...
Wednesday
6:30 am"Layla get up before you miss the bus" my mom said coming into my room turning the lights on.
I groaned and got up out of bed slipping on my bunny slippers and walking to the bathroom.
Before we get into that let me tell y'all about myself. My name is Layla Janae Brooks but y'all can call me Lay. I am 17 years old, I'm a very shy and anti- social person.
I live with my mom it's just me and her and my dad....let's just say he went to the store and never came back.
Because it's just me and her, My mom is struggling to keep Food on the table and clothes on my back. I guess I can say we're poor but not poor if that makes sense. We don't live in the best living space but Atleast we have a roof over our heads.
I'm not like every other girls at my school. I don't have the perfect clothes, or the nice shoes, the nice car or the nice body I'm just me.
But that's enough about me let's get back to this.
I finished brushing my teeth and turn on the shower and waited for it to get hot. I took my clothes off and checked the temperature before going in.
30 mins later
I got out the shower and put on some jeans and a regular shirt then I threw on a jacket. I put on my shoes then my necklace my mom gave me.
I grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs.
"Good Morning" I said to my mom
"Morning lay bear, your food is on the counter don't forget to lock the door I love you have a good day" she said kissing my forehead then leaving out the door.
I grabbed my plate and heated it up before sitting down and eating. After I ate I washed my plate and walked out the door locking it behind me. I got on the bus and put my headphones on.
At school...
I walked into this place called hell with my head down and my hands in my jacket pocket. I didn't really like to stand out like everyone else I'd rather be to myself.
I was walking to my locker when I got bumped really hard.
"Oh I'm sorr- DAMN WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING" I started to say but was rudely cut of by the one and only Ashley
Ashley have been 'bullying' me since middle school I don't know why she don't like me because there was a time when we were friends but I guess people change.
She started dressing different and started to get recognized so much that she forgotten about me then after a while she started to make fun of me like we didn't grow up together but hey, that's life.
I rolled my eyes and kept walking. When I got to my locker I put my pin in and got my books for my first period which was English.
The first bell rang and I started walking to class. When I got there I went straight to my seat and put my headphones in.
