"Good morning" my mom said as I walked into the kitchen
"Morning" I sat my bag down in the chair and grabbed an apple and water
"You look cute" Ja'Nyiah said
"Thanks, you do too" I smiled
"So you taking me to school" I asked my mom
"No your dad is"
"What. Why ?"
"I gotta go to work and Dj and Nyiah school is on the opposite side of yours" she sighed
"Good morning everyone"
"Speaking of the devil" I mumbled
"You ready Layla ?" He asked me
"Yup"
I grabbed my bag and water before heading outside.
"Nyiah take my picture real fast please" I asked handing her my phone

Getting in the passenger seat I put my seatbelt on as he started the car.
"So you, Dj, and Nyiah getting along" he asked as we started driving in the direction of my school
"Yup" I replied keeping it short
"That's good, so the boy who came over last night....boyfriend?"
"Nope"
"Come on Layla I'm trying here" he sighed
" I don't know why"
"Because I miss our bond, I want our bond back lay bug"
"Shoulda thought about that before you left" I shrugged
"I really I'm sorry Layla"
"Well sorry doesn't cut it" I said grabbing my bag as we pulled up to my school
