Layla sat at her desk with her computer in front of her. She was currently in school but was hardly paying attention to what was going on.
She pulled her phone out to FaceTime Sincere just for him to decline the call.
She tried again and got the same response.
Smacking her lips she put her chin in her hands and paid attention.
"Layla I'm about to go to work" Shay said walking into Layla room
"Okay" she replied
"You okay ?"
"Yeah...your not dressed like your going to work" Layla said looking at her mom outfit
"I have a meeting first"
"Since when did you have meetings ?" Layla questioned
Shay smacked her lips "Layla stop asking me questions"
Layla held her hands up in defense "okay" she turned back to her laptop.
"See you later, I love you"
"I love you too" she left

She hugged back "Awww baby look at your face"
"I'm fine grandma" I said walking into the house

"Your dad came here looking for you"
"Damn he didn't even last two weeks" I shook my head
"You been to the doctor ?"
"Yeah I'm suppose to be on bed rest until my ribs heal up"
