lola let out a soft sigh and looked in the mirror. her stomach wasn't as noticeable as she thought it would be but she still feared for her life. Lola was a drinker, if she didn't drink then people would immediately become suspicious and immediately bombard her with questions.
she slipped on a nice dress but loose enough where her stomach doesn't show. "i'm not ashamed of you," she muttered as she placed a hand on her stomach. "i'm ashamed of me, i'm not the mother you two deserve."
she heard a knock on her door and made her way into the living room. When she opened the door she saw Jaden staring back at her with a smile on his face.
"hey," lola muttered softly, not really in the mood for partying, "i just need to fix my hair, apply my makeup and put on some heels." he nodded and let her do her thing.
she looked through her closet and found a pair of black heels to match her black dress. "you know, i always thought you looked pretty in that dress." she looked in the mirror to see what the hell he was referring to but then allowed herself a smile. "lola, tell me something, do you like vinnie?"
she stopped and held her breath. she looked him in his eyes and saw that he was serious. "oh you're not kidding? well if you must know then nope."
"really?" secretly, he was relieved but also surprised due to how often she's with vinnie.
"why do you ask?" she questioned as she sat next to him.
"no reason." she left it at that and proceeded to put on her heels. "do you need help?" he chuckled.
"yea," she pouted. the pregnancy made it nearly impossible for her to bend over. she lifted up her leg just enough so he can help her but not see up her dress. "thanks."
she stood up and walked over to get her jacket but, what she didn't know is that he observed her every step. she didn't know all the kisses he wanted to give her or every time he's wanted her screaming his name.
"jae! pay attention!" he looked into her eyes. "let's go!" he did as she said and followed her like a lost puppy up until he realized he's driving.
