TimeKeeper: The dark side of the moon

Chapter 2

"What is a moon banshee?",  asked Mirabella. "Well, legend goes that a long long time ago the moon, planets, and galaxies in the Universe were all alive and habitable.The Universe was like one giant beating heart that all manner of life flourished in. The Sea of Tranquility was once a beautiful aqua green sea filled with underwater caves that you would not get lost in. Light covered the seafloor, expelling all darkness. The moon banshees were once beautiful sea creatures called Seamaids, that lived in The Sea of Tranquility. The Seamaids had long hair that shimmered like white diamonds in the sun. Their skin glowed like a soft white light. They were covered in aqua green fins with eyes of emerald green  The Seamaids had mermaid like tails that propelled them quickly through the water, they loved their home dearly. One sad day an eerie evil force blew in from the dark abyss millions of light years away, bringing havoc and darkness. Ever since, the Universe has sadly been in a dormant state. The evil force blew over the Sea of Tranquility drying it up to a dust filled crater. The Seamaids became  moon banshees that turned into ghostlike creatures.They roamed the vast crater from that day forth heartbroken and lost. They became the face  of sorrow, without their beloved Sea of Tranquility. The moon banshees won't hurt us if we do not show aggression, we must keep backing away slowly.", I said. "What if we went into their domain over the crater? What would the moon banshees do to us?", asked Amora. "They would carry us off into space and we may never get back to the moon, so we must always be careful and keep our distance", I replied. "We must always travel around that specific area and never get too close to them. They are only interested in protecting what's left of their home. They aren't interested in harming us.", I said. We made it back from our moonwalk safely to the Guardian. Josiah and Morpheus were waiting anxiously on us at gate 7. "What took you so long? I was beginning to worry", Josiah said. "We got a little startled,by the presence of a moon banshee out on our moonwalk.", I told Josiah. "But, we are all ok, we just backed away slowly until we were in a safe zone. But there's something important I must tell you Josiah.", I said. "What is it sis?",  Asked Josiah. "I found a basketball size glowing object, as I got closer to it I noticed a foggy green light surrounding a rock type formation.I was hesitant to pick the object up and bring it back. I thought you and Morpheus could go back there with me and see if we should bring it back to the Guardian to study or should we leave it where it is.", I said. "Wow! Gemini this is exciting news!",  Josiah said. "How about we go first thing in the morning to check out the glowing object?", said Josiah. "Definitely,I will meet you here at gate 7 bright and early.", I replied.

"Mom, Mirabella and I are going to take Plato,Castor and Pollux to get suited down and go to the Cyber cafe for dinner.", said Amora. "I will join and meet up with all of you in a bit.", I replied. "See ya later alligator!", said Josiah. "After awhile crocodile!🐊👋 See you in the morning bro!" I replied back. I quickly made my way to my room. I suited down and sat beside the lunar window looking out into the heavens just relaxing a bit and gathering my thoughts. After our parents divorced Josiah and I were separated. Soon after, I began having the same dream of my brother. In the dream, I saw Josiah  falling out of a car from a very high and frightful bridge. I saw him  fall down into the ocean. The water was cold and rough. Waves were crashing over his  head, my brother was screaming for help with one arm up in the air, trying to stay afloat. Josiah was reaching out and all I kept thinking was I have to save him. I had that same recurring dream off and on for years. After a few reconstructive surgeries, that Josiah endured he was sent to live with an acquaintance of our mother's. The acquaintance was a physicist, he wanted to help Josiah recover from all the physical stress and mental anguish from the surgeries. Our mother's husband was offered a job out of the country, he accepted and Josiah never heard from them again. That is when he became an orphan. Life was sad in many ways for Josiah, he said he often missed me and it troubled him that we had no contact for all that time. Thankfully, though the Physicist treated Josiah very good. He  helped my brother grow healthy and strong and he sent Josiah to the best schools available for his education. That is how Josiah and I found each other again. Yale was having a space and time travel seminar. Well,we both happened to be there at the exact same time and ever since we have been working together on space exploration and time travel. Boots laced, jacket on, now I'm ready. Uumm, I wonder what Chef Giorgio has prepared this evening for dinner. "Hey,girls! Have you ordered yet?", I asked Amora and Mirabella as I sat down at the table. "No,we were waiting on you before we ordered mom ", Mirabella said. "Thank you girls, your both always so sweet and thoughtful.", I said. "I hope you weren't waiting too long!", I said. "No,no! just a few minutes.", said Mirabella. "Chef Giorgio made his delicious lasagna and garlic bread, for the special this evening, if that's what you want mom?",asked Amora. "That sounds good to me,what do you think Castor?", I said.
