Part 19

Chapter 18

POV Kirishima

We left the room and started walking back towards the entrance. I was completely back in my human form now and I was wearing a hat just in case someone noticed my red hair on the way in and realised something was wrong.

Everything was going as planned and kat and the others had left. They are gone. He's gone... I should have tried harder to control myself and not attack his friends. I'm so pathetic, I couldn't even look at him. Maybe after this I can find him and try to explain myself. What would I even say, he had every right to hate me.

"hey kiri?" toga said tapping my shoulder

"huh yeah, you ok?"

"I've been trying to talk to you for ages and you've been in you own world" she giggled

"ages, that's a bit dramatic were like 10 steps out of the room" I responded

"yeah ok, hey kiri... I'm sorry about the blond" putting her hand on my shoulder

"yeah me too" I whispered looking down

"it's kinda my faul-" I continue but was interrupted

"do not resist arrest and no one will get hurt" a guard yelled approaching the group, he was followed by 9 other guards.

"it's ok, me and Rumi have got this under control" the fake guard keigo I think said.

"he's lying, they both took part In killing your king" the weird masked guy said walking in with an injection of some sort.

"arrest them but I want the half breed alive kill the others if you must but don't let them escape" the continued

"understood" the guards said in union and they started to approach

"you've got to be kidding me, right?" shigaraki mocked the guards stopped and started to panic as I took the hat off.

"you really think 10 guards will be enough. You haven't thought this through. Kirishima could take you all by himself, you would be dead in a minute" shigaraki said looking in my direction. As more guards waked in from a small side door leading to their rooms.

"aww that's cute you really think that gonna make a big difference? We have powers beyond your understanding, you don't stand a chance. However, believe it or not we don't want to hurt you, we just want peace. We did this for the greater good. I know most of you won't understand this because of the false stories the king used to tell but half breeds and dragons never really wanted to hurt humans but we will if we feel threatened, just like you." The guard Rumi said. I knew it they are half breeds too. I'm glad she took over talking because I really don't want to hurt these people and with my power not being completely under my control, I don't know what I could do.

"we won't fight unless you do" keigo said and some of the guards started moving back

"hey this is for the good of the kingdom these monsters are manipulative. If you let them go now think of what they could do, all the people they could kill. You are this kingdoms top soldiers they are clearly just trying to manipulate you to save themselves" the masked guy said only convincing a few to stand their ground.

"I'm sure your soon to be queen will not react nicely to finding out you let her father's murderers walk out freely. I wonder what she will do" he added and now all the guards were in some sort of stance and were approaching quickly.

Looking around everyone was getting ready to fight.

"kirishima, toga protect twice and the reward" Dabi whispered to us, we responded with nods and moved towards twice who was in the corner of the room back against the walls.

Shigaraki also moved over to help us "kirishima come forward I don't want you setting me on fire by accident"

And with that some of the guards charged towards Dabi and keigo but were stopped by a wall of blue flames. They stopped for a second and I thought they had realised what they were getting themselves in to but they hadn't, the guards all pressed a button on the back of their hands and shields formed. They were see through but foggy kind of like ice.

POV Bakugo

Why is there smoke coming from that room?! I haven't heard any shouting but the walls are thick. shit I hope he is ok.

Without even thinking about it I run into the room. I have to stop quickly and cover my eyes and mouth because the smoke was so thick. When my eyes were a bit more comfortable with the smoke I looked around and saw Eraser and the others had come in with me. I looked for Ei but the smoke was too thick, I was able to see the guards and a weird shield thing they had the smoke seemed to be going over their heads completely missing them. There was a lot of shouting but no indication of any fighting yet.

It had gotten dark out and a lightning storm was forming. Within seconds of noticing this a bolt of lightning struck near the castle and the light shone through the small windows dotted across the wall. As it did the room was lit up for a second and through the smoke I could see the outlines on three pairs of wings and horns. All three of them were in full half dragon form.

They didn't look hurt but I couldn't tell for sure. If Hizashi was here he would be able to sense if they were hurt but Eraser made him stay with shinso since we were going into the king's home.

From looking at their outlines I am gonna guess Ei is the one at the back as he had the smallest wings, it could have just been the distance but my gut was telling me it was him.

The only way I could get to him was by going around the edge of the room till I get to his side. So I put my hand on the wall and, while covering my mouth because of the smoke, I walked around the edge of the room. I pick up my pace as I heard the sound of swards clashing and something solid with a lot of power behind it hit the back wall.

The smoke was getting thicker and the room was a lot louder now screaming, shouting, rocks crumbling and fighting. Lightning struck twice, the first time I saw guards retreating some injured some only scared. The second time I looked up and saw one complete dragon and a massive hole in the back wall.

They were going to leave, I started moving faster and faster directly towards them. I started to see the full-size dragon fly away with three people on it's back. I move faster pushing people out of the way. Then I see a half breed tack off while holding a person close. I moved faster. Then I see the last one, the other half breed, Eijiro, take off.

Fuck, wait, get his attention he'll come back.

"Eijiro Kirishima" I see his silhouette stop, we're on the top floor there is enough time for him to fly back. 15 second drop, 10 to be safe.

"you would never drop me and even if I did fall, you will be there to catch me, Right" I yelled and without looking up I turned around and stepped backward off the ledge.

I hear is the shouts of my mentor and the Dekusquad until they fade out and all I hear is the sound of wind rushing past my ears.
