Riley's POV:
I slowly walk to the Gryffindor table while everyone's stares are on Draco or me. I keep my head down in embarrassment. As I sit down I hear Draco clear his voice loudly. I get nervous about what he might say to everyone.
"Just so no one gets any ideas" he snarls, "Riley was helping me with homework, so don't go bothering her with some shit you think happened," he says menacingly.
Most shuddered but nodded quickly afraid of him. After a few seconds, everyone went back to chatting and talking with one another. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I start to eat when my friends bombard me with questions.
"What was that?" Harry asked.
"What would he even need help with? He's practically one of the best students in Charms" Hermione asks quietly.
"Why was he so aggressive about it?" Ron asks.
"He just asked for help on a few questions so I stayed after a little to help. And Apparently, he just wasn't listening when we were getting taught some of the shield spells. I'm also pretty sure when we walked in together, both late, people might get some ideas about what we were doing" I feel a little hurt about the last one but brush it off. I felt bad about lying but it was too embarrassing, to tell the truth.
I can tell they don't completely believe me but they shrug it off after giving me some looks. I look over at Draco and he's already looking at me with worry. When he sees me looking at him he smiles and glances away. I blush and look down, thankfully no one notices this.
Finally, we get to our next class which is Potions, with Snape. He's always been mean to Gryffindors so I wonder if he'll not like me as well. I start walking with my friends to the class, which takes longer to get to than we thought, so we end up late. I was afraid that the Professor was angry at us and we would get in so much trouble.
"Well, why were you four late, Gryffindor's I assume," Snape says in an ominous tone. Then he raises his hand to hit me.
I cower in fear as I prepare for the blow, covering my head with my hands. I start shaking getting ready to try and protect my body from any further damage, but when I look up his eyes have gone wide and his hand is down. I then realized he rose is hand to scold us but it always looks the same.
"She's Miss. Lovegood sir, the Huffledor Venrin" Hermione tells him quickly.
"Just go sit down you four and don't interrupt my class again," he says in a softer voice than before.
I slowly walked towards my seat and sat down. Hoping not to have to talk too much in this class. I took a seat my Hermione but right as I sat down she gave me a weird look. Then I was interrupted again.
"Miss. Love good I know your new and that is why you are not in trouble for this, but we have a seating arrangement. Your seat is by Mr.Malfoy" he told me with a boring look.
"O-oh I'm sorry sir," I told him feebly.
I walked to where Draco sat and took the seat next to him. Harry gave me an apologetic look. I started fidgeting and becoming more nervous as the class went on. I felt every glance Draco gave me. I tried my best to pay attention to the lesson which was about poison antidote. But it seemed to be hard to pay attention.
Eventually, we were told that class was almost over so we had free time. But to be ready because we were going to get to smell amortentia. That seemed exciting but sadly I still had to sit by Malfoy.

Third Person POV:
Riley walked out of class as fast as she could without running. Hermione caught up to her quickly, followed by Harry and Ron. They saw she was looking at her feet and in deep thought. Not looking where she was going bumped into someone.
