POV: Morality (sometimes Patton, other times Janus)
It was just another day, until the flash. I was chilling on the Mindpalace couch with Light Creativity, Remus, Logic, and Anxiety when all of a sudden everything went dark. Like, dark dark. It was super scary. I heard mass confusion from the other sides. As I called out to the others, I realized that I couldn't. Something was preventing me from speaking. And it wasn't me. I know what silencing myself feels like.
Suddenly, it wasn't dark anymore. In front of me, I saw... me. Except it wasn't me. It was- Thomas? And he was crying. Really hard. I guess he was looking at a mirror because he looked down at a sink. As we looked in the mirror, I could hear Anxiety screaming the most alarming scream. It was as if he were being skinned alive. And then Thomas looked down. In the sink were bottles upon bottles of pills. There was no way he was considering... not my boy. Not mine. He's fine. Right? We saw his hand reach out towards the sink... and then the lights came back on. In the phase between the lights being turned on and our views returning, I heard Logan sobbing off to my right. I guess he didn't think that Thomas feeling this way was, well, logical.
When the Mindpalace came back into view, Anxiety was curled in on himself, rocking back and forth, muttering to himself. Logic sobbing, glasses in hand. Light Creativity was panicking. Remus was just sitting there with his eyes wide and his head cocked to the side, smiling from ear to ear.
"Wha-what was that?" Anxiety asked cautiously.
"I'm not sure..." Logic still couldn't believe what they had just witnessed. I don't think he was alone in that notion. "There didn't seem to be enough information to go off of."
"Yeah, right." I couldn't believe it. One moment ago, Logic was sobbing with the might of someone who's father just died and now he's claiming that nothing is wrong?
"Morality?"
"You saw the same thing that I did, right? You clearly saw Thomas, right? Did you not also see a sink full of... gee, I don't know, pills?"
"Yes I did, but I really do not think that that means anything."
"Of course you don't get it. You're Logic! There's no way you could ever understand what he's going through!" And with that, I sunk out of the Mindpalace, and into Thomas's bathroom.
