A good hour after Akira arrived home, everyone there hears a loud thud from upstairs.
"Akira, you better not be having some sort of tantrum up there!" Sojiro calls.
The girls all exchanged concerned glances at each other, "Should we go check on him?" Makoto asks.
"I don't know," Futaba answers, "Sometimes he gets into fits and throws stuff," Futaba thinks for an extra second, "But that wasn't as loud as it would have if it were thrown..."
"Maybe something fell?" Ann asks.
Futaba sighs and stands, "I'm going to go check on him."
Futaba heads up the stairs and opens the door. What she finds makes her eyes widen, and before she knows it, she is crying and yelling for Sojiro. Sojiro sighs and heads up the stairs, when he finds Akira hanging lifelessly from the ceiling and his daughter crying on the ground, he feels a sudden sense of dread.
He rushes over to Akira, pulls him down carefully, and checks his pulse. It's already gone.
By this time, the others have already made their way upstairs. Their reactions are all similar to that of Futaba's. Sojiro lays Akira's body on the mattress and covers it with the blanket.
