Decoding The Message Of Amber

Chapter 3

I wake up and make my way to the bathroom, I woke up a bit early this morning so I could take a shower before school, I undress from my oversized nirvana shirt and my underwear and they end up on the floor and I put my hand on the facet and started the water, after I feel it warm up I got in and the warm water felt good on my back, I then proceeded to wash my hair and clean off my body with my favorite peppermint body wash, I then left the shower and looked into the mirror and saw my naked body exposed, I don't hate who I am like Whitney does and I'm not the slimmest person, I'm not big enough to be plus size and I'm not a size zero so I'm kind of hard to shop for, but looks are just whatever.
I get out my blow dryer and dry my hair just enough for it to not be so Damp, I then proceeded to put it in braids, and found two rubber bands I usually use for my teeth to tie the ends, I walk over to my closet and put on my bra and underwear, I then found my favorite flannel and black crop top and put them on with some high waisted jeans that used to be my moms, so they were older but they were the most comfortable pair I have, i then put on socks and black vans, and a beanie.
I grab the remote to my tv and turn it on and fuse is on so I can have some background music while I do my make up, I put on just concealer with some winged eyeliner and put on my eyebrows. I don't usually use a lot of make up.
I then hear my ferret beating on his cage so I let him out and picked him up
"Hello mr. jordan" I say to him as if he could respond.
I let him loose in my room while I changed his food, but It's not like he has a little cage, I got mine from my work that they were going to throw out, its huge, and takes up a big space in my room, it has three different stories with 2 pet wheels for him to run on and lots of other toys and it has three water bottles he can drink from so he is never thirsty.
Whenever I get home from work I always let him out of his cage and he usually crawls up next to me on my bed while I play Xbox live. he is a lazy ferret, but I love him regardless, and when la dispute plays he spins in circles, he knows the band he is named after and it's so cute.
I then put Jordan back in his cage and make my way to the sink to wash my hands because I have the worst habit that after I touch any animal I always wash my hands.
I leave my room and I see Mason and Mindy at the table eating cereal.
"No mom made breakfast this morning" I say
"Guess not, both moms are gone" he says
I then pour myself a bowl and sit down at the table with them.
"Where did you get your jeans, they are so vintage" she says
"They used to be my moms" I say
"I love them, next time I see her I'm going to ask her if she has any more" Mindy says with a smile
"Quit humoring her babe, we both know my sister dresses like a hobo" Mason says then giggles
"Hobo chic, this look is all I got" i say
"Yeah and it's very weird" he says
"Hey Mason! I think your sister is interesting!" she says.
"Yeah, well if you think a video game nerd who is a loner, and has a pet ferret is interesting then I think we should rethink our relationship" he says
"You just described the coolest person ever, what's been up your ass mason, you've been the king of judging me lately" I say
"I'm sorry, I've just been listening to the kids at school to much" Mason says
"Well fuck the kids at school, we're family, I don't care about their opinions anyways, but they shouldn't soil my sweet innocent brothers mind" I say with a smile and take a big bite of my cereal.
"I think that's really cool that you don't care what they think" Mindy said
"Dude it's not hard, hate to break it to you but none of this high school shit matters, it doesn't define you for who you are."i say
Then I got up from the table and put my bowl in the sink and then walked out the door, I've had enough of this after school special shit for one day.

"I'm really proud of you" I say
"For what?" Whitney says
"For bringing your own food and staying on your diet" I say
"Well thank you for noticing" I say
"How has everyone's day been?" Opal said
"Mine has been great, Ashley and Ashton both have talked to me today, they told me they liked my blouse and want to go shopping sometime, can you believe it?!" Whitney said all ecstatic.
"Good for you whitney, stepping out of the friend group" Opal said
"Well excuse me for being social, you guys never want to go shopping with me unless it's at a Thrift store and you guys know I hate old people" Whitney says
"What does old people have to do with thrifting?" Jace exclaims
"Because it's all old people clothes and I can't handle it" Whitney says
Then jace started cracking up.
"That's hilarious" he says then puts his arm around Opal
then miles walked over to our table, and I got this nervous feeling in my stomach, I haven't talked to him since this summer when he came into the store for fish food for a fish he doesn't have.
The miles begins a sentence as he is sitting down
"Hey jace, hear about the la dispute show?" He says
"Yeah man, the girls and I are going" he says with a smile
"Oh these losers" miles says then giggles
"Shove It up your ass miles" I say
"Such a filthy mouth you have, I thought I was around ladies and a gentlemen" miles says then smirks
"You're not even funny" I say back
That didn't even sound good coming out of my mouth.
"Well since I'm not being amused over here I guess I'll go, I'll see you later jace, and Opal and whitney." miles says then walks off
"I hate that guy" I say
"Just because you're not over him" Whitney said
"You don't just dump someone for no reason" I say
"you're better than him anyways" Whitney says
