Alexis' POV

We finally got to my house in Fort Worth. "See you guys next week," I said.

"You got it," said Blake.

I waved as they drove off. "Bye," I said. I walked into my house. "Mom, Dad?"

"In here," said Dad.

I walked into the kitchen. "Hey. I'm back from New York," I said.

"Where's your husband?" asked Mom.

"I left him," I said. "Didn't work out."

"Oh, sweetie," said Mom.

"Mom, please stop," I said. "Tony Denozzo is just not the guy for me."

"Oh, honey," said Dad. "Please tell me its not the love for that boyband member you like."

"Dad," I said. "I love Blake and I know he loves me." I looked at him. "Dad, he told me he loves me. Trust me."

"Alexis," said Dad.

"Blake dropped me off," I said. "He drove me all the way here from New York. Look, it's almost 8pm. I'm going to Nathan's and I'll be back when I do because I also promised to call my friend." I walked over to Nathan's house. "Hey."

"Hey," said Nathan. "You can use my front door."

"I did and no one answered," I said. "Your parents let me in through the back."

"Come on," said Nathan. We walked down the stairs and saw his mom fighting someone. She fell to the ground. "Oh my god."

Nathan grabbed my hand and pulled me up to his room. "We have to go," said Nathan. We went through his window and jumped off the roof. We ran to the front of the house and saw his dad. My dad too. "Oh my god."

"Alexis, Nathan," said Dad. "Go now! Run and don't stop!" I looked at him. "Never look back. Go!"

Dad fell to the ground. "Oh my god," I said. I grabbed Nathan's hand and ran to my house. I grabbed my keys from under the wheel and we got into the car. I started driving. "We gotta ditch my car."

"How?" asked Nathan.

"On the count of three, we jump," I said. "One."

"Two."

"Three," we both said.

We jumped from the car. I got up and ran to Nathan. "Let's go," I said. We ran into the woods and got into the water. "They're going to try and track us." We got out of the river and Nathan left to go find blanket. "Come on."

"Hey," said Nathan. I turned around and walked over to him. We sat on a blanket he put on the floor. Nathan snuggled up to me, laid down, and we eventually dozed off. I cried myself to sleep. The next morning I woke up and Nathan was already up. "You okay?"

"I'm fine," I said. "Come on."

Nathan and I started walking. "Where are we going?" asked Nathan.

I pulled a key out of my pocket. "My mom," I said. "Or whoever she is gave me this key and an address if anything ever happened to her. It's an apartment." We snuck to the apartment and got inside. I closed the door. "You might be able to fit into some clothes. I'm going to shower." I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. I showered and put a towel around me. I checked the bags in the bathroom to find clothes. "Come on." I checked the closet and pulled out a duffel bag. I found some clothes that would fit me. "Finally." I got dressed in skinny jeans, black high heel ankle boots, a red crop top, and a black leather jacket. I walked out of the bathroom and Nathan pulled on a brown leather jacket. "Looks good on you. It looks similar to the one my dad used to wear."
