We were fetched by our family driver using our van and now, he's bringing us to the hospital straight from the airport.

"Mga ilang oras po ang biyahe, Kuya John?" tanong ko sa kanya. Sa hospital sa probinsya kasi naconfine ang pinsan namin kaya medyo may kalayuan.

"Mga apat na oras pa, Theo," he replied while putting our luggage at the compartment.

We reclined our chairs and slept after I set my phone to alarm after 3 hours.

After exactly three hours, my alarm went off. I turned it off and rubbed my tired eyes. I told her bits of the reason on why we flew back earlier.

"Thea, gising na." Inalog ko ang balikat ng kapatid ko para magising na siya. After she opened her eyes, she looked around for a bit.

"Where are we?" she asked, still sleepy.

"Almost there," sagot ko. "Mag-ayos ka na."

Thea did as I said at nag-ayos na. After a few more minutes ay nakarating na kami sa hospital. They all looked tired as well.

"Theo and Thea! You're finally here," bati ni Ate Athena, the oldest among us cousins

"Yes, Ate. Kagagaling lang namin sa airport," I said. "How is Michael? And asan sina Tita Shen at Tito Mike?" tanong ko.

Ate Athena sighed. "Michael's out of the ICU na, thankfully. Tito and Tita are at his room. He's still not awake though," she said. She ushered us to a hallway kaya sumunod kami sa kanya.

"Ano ba'ng nangyari?" I asked for details.

It turns out that a 12-wheeler truck ran over Michael's car at an intersection dahil hindi gumagana ang stop light and they were driving at a fast pace. The truck driver was also brought to the hospital pero hindi naman malala ang kalagayan niya. Michael on the other hand, received a head injury. He was on his way to meet his friend daw when that happened. The truck literally ran over Michael's car kaya sa lagay niya ngayon, he's lucky to be alive.

"Here's his room," ani Ate Athena. She knocked three times before entering.

"Tita, Tito, nandito na po sina Theo at Thea," she informed them. Pumasok kami ni Thea at nagmano. They were sitting on a stool beside Michael's bed.

"Oh? Akala ko nasa France kayo?" tanong ni Tita Shen, my father's sister.

"Opo, we heard about what happened kaya umuwi po kami agad," I said.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry to cut your trip there short," she sighed. "Ito kasing pinsan niyo eh masyadong padalos-dalos." She sounded angry and sad at the same time. Michael is their only child after all.

"It was an accident po, Tita. It wasn't Michael's fault. Mabuti na lang po at hindi na critical ang lagay niya," I stated.

They nodded at me and even managed to joke, "Alam mo namang matigas ang ulo niyang pinsan niyo. It's usually a bad thing but I guess it's a good thing now."

We talked for a bit before they told us to eat breakfast. I wanted to stay and watch over Michael as well but I heard Thea's stomach growl, kaya pumayag na ako.
