I promised I would upload when I got 300 reads. Sorry it's not to great, I was determined to post it today.

"What?" I choked out. We can't be moving, we just can't be! Right when I had found my place where I belong, I have to pack up and bags and go?
"You heard me right, we're moving." My mom gave me a weak smile. "Don't worry, honey. I'm sure you'll find a way to work through it. It's just...your dad got a job in Ireland."
"Ireland?!" I yelled, raged. We're moving to Ireland?! I assumed maybe, like, a state away...
"Well, yes. Your dad got a big promotion, and he just couldn't pass it up." My mom glanced at Kyle. "Kyle, honey? Are you okay?"
He sighed. "Mom, I don't want to move, but I'll do it for you and dad." What a suck up. I wondered if we would ever get along...suddenly, my eyes filled with tears. I had to move. The thought just kept running through my head.
"Does Macy know?" Surely, my little sister would be crushed. She loved living here, and everything about it. My mom nodded in response. "I told her this morning...she's fine. I truly am sorry honey, but-"
I ran to my room before my mom had a chance to finish her sentence. When I got to my room, I laid on my bed, a sudden tiredness rushing through me. I loved our house, I really didn't want to leave. I've lived in this house all my life, there are so many memories. Like the one time me and Hannah were 8, and we were pretending to be chefs but accidentally almost burned the kitchen down. Or the other time Kyle accidentally invited a bunch of strangers over, making me cover up for him. I laughed at the memory. Our parents still don't know about that one...
I blinked back tears. I just have to grow up and face the fact that I can't always have it my way, we're moving. Now I need to clean up my act and act like the civilized adult I should be.
The springs of my bed squeaked as I got off of it. When I got to the kitchen, I saw my mom and Kyle sitting at the table, eating dinner as of we weren't moving countries.
Wait, dinner at past 10:00...? Weird.
From now on, I was going to act like a proper adult.
"Hello mom. Kyle. I would just like the details on our moving." I barely recognized myself, I always acted like such a kid. My mom gave me a funny look, while Kyle looked taken aback, like someone had replaced his sister. I sat down formally, in no mood to eat. She quickly disguised the funny look on her face and acted like nothing happened.
"Well, we're moving in two months..." She glanced at a nearby sheet. "January 13th to be exact." Oh, great. I had to start all over again right smack dab in the middle of the year. My hopeful smile quickly vanished but I wouldn't let myself show my disappointment.
"Oh...that's great." I gritted my teeth. Wow, pretending to be happy is harder than it looks...
"I know you're upset honey. It's hard for you, and I understand. Way back, I was once a teenage girl, too. So, for being so cooperative with me and the moving business, your dad has agreed with me to let you get an iPhone." Can moms read minds?!
"Oh mom..." I was at a loss for words. Ever since I was 12, I have been begging my mom for an iPhone. It was always 'its too expensive' or my personal favourite 'I don't get the big hype about it.'
"Mom, you don't have to. I was being silly and childish, and I made a promise to myself to grow up." I tried to explain, but I already knew my mom wouldn't crack. Was my mom seriously going to have to force me to get a new phone...?
"It's what you've wanted, don't try to talk me out of it. It's the least I can do, I feel like a terrible mother for making he daughter move." She was stern, but softened up at the end. Well, there's no use arguing. I ran across the table and into her arms.
"Oh mom thank you thank you so much!" She laughed in response. "Oh sweetie...promise me you'll never grow up."
I held out my hand for her to shake in a rather sophisticated matter. She laughed a bit and shook my hand. "Pleasure doing business with you Miss Calder." I walked back to my room, tired considering it was now past 11:00. I changed into my pajamas and lied down on my bed.
What would it be like living in Ireland? Does that mean I'm now technically Irish? Are my neighbors going to be leprechauns? Will they make me drink beer? I have so many questions...it's a completely new experience because I never travel. Our last trip to Florida was 2 years ago... Why couldn't my dad get a new job in America? Ireland was like a new planet for me.
And worst of all, starting over at a new school. I won't know anyone...I'll be foreign to them, the only one without an accent. I HAVE to do some research on my new country tomorrow.
