(Author note) I'm hoping to start making the chapters longer, most of them have only been 1 page.

I have no big tests or anything, so I have more time. Later on in this chapter, I plan to switch to Vanessa's point of view for the very first time. Exciting! Oh yeah, and I'm sorry if I mistakenly call Avery 'Audrey'. I keep accidentally typing it...

Thank you for reading my story, and yes, I realize that I'm talking to invisible people, but hey, I'm using my imagination.

Avery's POV

The end of the week was near and nothing had really changed. Me and Hannah still haven't really talked, and me and Vanessa have become closer. I still haven't found the right time to talk to Hannah, but I think I might today.

It was Friday afternoon, and I was chewing on the back of my pencil in art, which was our second last period. Hannah was sitting at her desk, alone. I wondered if now would be a good time to talk to her.

"Vanessa," I whispered. "Would now be a good time to apologize?"

She paused for a moment, before speaking. "Um, no."

I gave her a confused look. "Why?" I questioned.

"Because." She thought for a moment. Why not? Why is now different from any other time?

"Well, Hannah looks busy. Maybe ask her after class, if she isn't busy."

"Um...okay?" I turned back to my art. I decided that I would apologize after art, before we went home. I really hated being mad at my best friend.

Art came to an end and I gathered up my supplies. I quietly told Vanessa that I was going to talk to her. I turned around and made my way towards Hannah so Vanessa couldn't stop me.

I approached Hannah quietly and tapped her on the shoulder. She reluctantly turned around.

"Oh look! THE Avery Calder is talking to me!" She spoke in such a sarcastic tone, and put a fake smile on her face.

"Look, Hannah I-"

"Why didn't you talk to me?! You've been avoiding me all week!" She yelled.

"I'm sorry, I can't fix that, but Hannah-" She cut me off again.

"I thought we were best friends. If we were, then you wouldn't of ditched me for some stuck up British bitch." Hannah spat back.

"Vanessa isn't a bitch!" I defended her.

"Yeah, otherwise we would still be best friends. I can't believe you had the nerve to replace me with some... Oh I just hate her!"

"Hannah, you don't even know her." I tried to reason.

"Yes, I do! I know her well enough to see that she's just a British bitch who wants to steal my best friend!"

"Hannah, please don't lie." I tried to say calmly.

"Why would I ever lie to YOU? My so-called best friend? If you don't want to believe me, then go. Go have fun with your new best friend and don't say that nobody warned you." Hannah crossed her arms and stormed off to her last class. I didn't even care that dozens of people were probably watching me right now, but I sighed, trying to let all of the negative energy leave my body. It didn't work.

I took out my gym bag for gym. Normally, I would be upset that me and Hannah didn't have gym together but not today. All I wanted to do was get away from her, and give her a break. Maybe it's time to upgrade. I walked away, not looking anyone in the eye.

As I walked into gym, I realized that Vanessa was there. Boy, did I seriously have every class with her? I'm not sure if thats good OR bad.

I walked up to her, pulled her aside, and told her everything.

Vanessa's POV

Right when Avery pulled me aside I knew something wasn't right. I have only known her for a little over a week, but I can read people really well.

She told me about a fight her and Hannah recently had, and that made me a little happy and gave me a tiny amount of hope. When she got to the part that involved me being called a bitch, I wasn't exactly thrilled about it. I needed to make a good impression at my school, and not come off as a bitch. IF I wanted to go through with my plan.

I told her to not give up on Hannah and just wait, it wasn't exactly the best advice and certainly not the full truth. But it was good enough for now. Good enough to assure me that Hannah and Avery wouldn't be friends again any time soon.

Am I really a stupid little British girl? Was I stuck up, mean, annoying, or snobby?

I ducked as a dodgeball nearly hit my head, and went back into deep thought.

I wonder what it would be like if Avery found out.

Would she treat me the same?

What if she knew the real me, secrets and all?

(Author note)

Haha, some of you may of caught on to my unintentional 'Want U back" references.

You also may have noticed that I used the last name calder for Avery. I just thought it sounded cool. Avery Calder. See? Awesome! it's not like she's Eleanor's sister or something. Hey, that also gives me an idea for a new story! Will keep you updated on that.

Agh, I just realized that I also made Vanessa British. I need to get more creative!

If you are confused about Vanessa's part, am explanation will soon come, but until then, just patiently wait. You may think that the explanation is in the title of the story, but no.

I don't want to give it away in chapter 6.

One last thing, sorry this was super-short. I was planning on making it at least two full pages, but got carried away and made a good spot for it to end in the middle. Does that sentence make sense? You tell me!

Okay, real last thing. I have already finished chapter 7, but wont post it yet, therefore giving me a week off. It'll probably be up on Thursday though. I'm warning you, the drama has just begun.
