A Shocking Encounter.

"Oh you know, the usual." Roxas softly smiled as he stared out the window to his right.

"Yeah, you know our go-to's Axel!" I grinned as Axel nodded and motioned for me to move so he could exit the seat of our booth.

"I don't think Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion have ever had fast food before." Roxas laughs at his own joke, while I just stare at him silently.

"I barely know those three." I reminded my friend, as he turned his head to face me.

"Right, sorry... I don't think you'd want to know them, honestly. I don't think you'd get along. But if you wanna try to, knock yourself out." Roxas pulled out his phone and scrolled through social media.

Axel returned to our table and started making jokes about other students, who I thankfully knew.

"Hey, Axel!" I ran over to the red haired student once I spotted him in the hall.

"Oh, hey Dem. 'Sup?" Axel shoved a binder into his book bag, as he began walking and I followed.

"Not much, I'm just bored."

"Classes just finished. Have a bit more patience. Got it memorized?" He held a finger up to his head, saying his catchphrase to me.

"But I'm bored! Monday's suck, you know." I complained as my eyes bolted around the hall to see who else was around.

"I don't think anything interesting happened to me today... Oh, I talked with Saix."

"How'd that turn out?" My eyes lit up with excitement.

"Same as usual. I tried to invite him to the sleepover we're having this weekend, but he just told me to get back to work."

"Typical Saix." I heard a voice call out from behind us as we turned around to see Roxas approaching us.

"Hey Roxas! Got any ideas how to cure boredom?" I folded my arms across my chest and smiled impatiently. Axel took out a water bottle from his book bag and took a sip from it.

"Hmm... Have you considered getting a life?" Roxas joked. Axel spit out his water all over the floor and I burst out laughing.

"Roxas!" A black haired girl only a little shorter than Roxas ran up behind him and hugged him tightly.

"Too tight, Xion!" Roxas struggled to breath as Axel chuckled.

I turned around with a sigh and began to walk away. I turned the corner and accidentally bumped into someone.

I collapsed and my books and papers from class scattered across the floor. And then, I quickly looked up to see Lexaeus.

"Sorry!" I nervously shouted as I began to pick up my things when I saw a pair of hands begin to help me. I slightly looked up from the floor to see Zexion.

"Hey, Zexion!" I greeted him cheerfully, as I shoved a few books back into my unzipped backpack.

"You should use folders for your paper. Zip your backpack too." He advised.

"Thanks. I'll remember that!" I nodded at him as I took the papers he collected from his hands and finished collecting my stuff from the floor.

"Don't worry about it. Zexion's always happy to give advice and criticism." I heard a chuckle as I stood up to see Vexen behind Lexaeus.

"So, uh... How are you three doing?" I attempted to make conversation with them.

"We're fine, and we hope you are too." Lexaeus replied, standing completely still like a statue.

"I heard you're failing History." Vexen changed the topic, as he scribbled things onto a paper on a clipboard.

"Yeah..." I was a bit taken back by the sudden change.

"If you continue to fail, the teacher will most likely get you a study partner." Zexion informed me.

"She'll make it someone she can rely on too. Best of luck with your History." Lexaeus added to Zexion's comment.

The three of them walked away as I stood there, thinking about the conversation. I felt a finger tap on my shoulder as I turned around.

"Ta-da! This is why you don't bother those guys." Axel smirked at me as Roxas and Xion joined us.

"Anyways, Xion wants to go shopping and she's dragging me and Axel along. Wanna come?" Roxas offered with a sigh as Xion smiled.

"Shopping? Sounds like fun!" I looked through my backpack to make sure I wasn't missing anything and I zipped it up.

Roxas and Axel looked exhausted while Xion and I were excited.

I opened the door to my room as I placed the shopping bags from a long day of shopping down on my desk. Roxas entered the room and went straight for his bed.

"Tired already?" I set my backpack down near the edge of my bed as I went to my closet to change into pajamas.

"I have to get up early tomorrow... I ended up being chosen as Larxene's study partner." Roxas shrugged as I sat down on my own bed.

"Whoa, dude! I feel sorry for you, that's mad unlucky!" I frowned at the name of the bully I couldn't stand.

"Eh... Everyone has a better side to them."

"Yeah, everyone. Larxene isn't just everyone." We both were now laying down on our beds, about to fall asleep.

"It's whatever. I got stuck with you last year anyway, and the year before that I was the one needing help." Roxas began to remember past years when it came to study partners.

"Wait, you needed help one year?"

"Yeah, Zexion helped me. Now, go to bed. Oh yeah, we're also getting you folders for your papers tomorrow."

I grumbled as I shut my eyes and everything went pitch black.

"Demyx, wake up. It's two in the freaking afternoon."

My eyes quickly opened as I chuckled and sat up, Roxas sighed and shook his head.

"We're going to get you folders now."

"What? Can I get breakfast first?"

"It's two!"

I walked over to my closet and picked out a light blue t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I grabbed a pair of white socks and my blue shoes with white laces.

"Hey Roxas! Guess my favorite color." I finished changing and exited the closet.

"Blue." Roxas looked over at his clock to check the time.

"Nope!" I swung my backpack over my shoulder.

"Wait, really?" Roxas grabbed his book bag and we exited the room.
