The dance was packed when we arrived there. Xigbar and Larxene were making terrible jokes in the corner of the Gym, Marluxia was at the Food Table, and Xion approached us.

"Roxas! Axel!" Xion hugged my two friends tightly and then looked at me.

"I made a deal with him." Roxas chuckled.

"Demyx! Trust me, this'll be so much fun!" Xion smiled.

"You better keep your promise. I better have a great night, Roxas." I joked around as we walked further into the Gym.

"Saix is here... Alone?" Axel ran off without the rest of us and Roxas just shrugged.

"Hey, Roxas. Wanna dance?" Xion beamed with excitement in her eyes.

"Sure! Come on, Demyx!" Roxas and Xion began walking away.

"Uh, no thanks." I didn't move.

"If you say so. If you need anything, talk to me." Roxas and Xion ran off.

"There goes the idea of hanging out with your friends." I heard Xigbar shout at me from the corner of the Gym.

"Why didn't you go with them? Isn't dancing and music your thing?" Larxene looked annoyed as I walked over to the two of them.

"Not in public." I shrugged as I reached them.

"Wow, really?" Larxene looked like she was trying to hold back a rude comment.

"Scared?" Xigbar put his hands on his sides.

"Yeah..." I looked down.

"Dances suck. Like seriously, they don't play good music and they're way too crowded." Larxene complained.

"All of the songs are clean." Xigbar looked at the exit of the Gym.

"Yeah, I'm leaving. Roxas never said I had to stay here the whole time." I walked out of the Gym.

"Leaving?" I saw Xaldin standing out in the hall, leaning against the wall.

"Yeah." I shoved my hands into my pockets and continued walking away from the gym.

I decided to go outside of the school and take a walk around Town.

"I never wanted to go to the dance to begin with." I mumbled to myself.

I felt something hit my head as my eyes bolted up to the sky. Rain. It quickly started down-pouring as I ran for the nearest shelter. I saw a Cafe, and quickly ran inside.

"Demyx?" I heard a familiar voice while I took a moment to catch my breath.

I looked up and saw Zexion walking over to me. Vexen and Lexaeus were sitting in a Booth, studying.

"H-Hey, Zexion! What's up?" I finished catching my breath.

"What happened with you?" He asked me, as he began looking through the satchel he was carrying.

"Went to the dance, hated it, decided to take a walk." I summarized everything that happened quickly.

"I have a few spare outfits on me, I think this will fit you." Zexion pulled out a Black T-shirt and a pair of jeans.

"You have good taste in clothes!" I gratefully took the clothes from his hands as I rushed to the bathroom.

I returned from the bathroom to see Zexion went back to his seat across from Vexen and Lexaeus at their Booth.

"Demyx, come over here!" Vexen demanded once he heard my footsteps come back from the bathroom.

"Okay." I walked over to the Booth the three of them were at.

"Sit down next to Zexion. You're studying with us. You don't want a study partner you dislike, do you?" Vexen pulled out a folder and a textbook from his backpack.

"Sorry, but as you can see I don't have anything on me right now... I don't even have my phone or my wallet." I sat down next to Zexion and felt all of the eyes on me.

"Don't worry about it. We've got all of the material we're studying right here." Lexaeus reassured me as he sorted through some papers.

"Oh. Thanks, guys!" I smiled at them.

"Here, read this." Zexion handed me a textbook as I held back a sigh.

"Well, this has been nice. I have to go." Vexen put all of his stuff back in his backpack and left the Cafe.

"I'm leaving now." Lexaeus gathered his stuff as well and left.

"Uh... You leaving, Zexion?" I looked to the student next to me.

"No, I'm ordering something. I'm hungry." Zexion put all of his belongings back into his satchel and waved over to the worker at the front desk.

The worker walked over and Zexion ordered a salad.

"So, uh... Thanks for everything." I tried to start a conversation.

"I just wanted you to study, because I didn't want there to be a chance of having to be your Study Partner." Zexion looked away, coldly.

"I figured as much. Uh... You wanna talk about books?" I fiddled with my hands, uncomfortable.

"Why are you still here?" He asked me.

I was shocked, but I quickly thought of something. It was dumb to say, but it was worth a shot.

"I want to be your friend!" I smiled as the worker returned with Zexion's order.

"Friends? With me? Why?" He began eating his food.

"Uh, do I need a reason? I want to get to know you better, and you seem pretty cool." I was nervous, responding to the things he said.

"Really... Hmm... I've heard people say you're annoying. I've also seen you annoy people."

"Yeah... I'm annoying, I'll admit that." I looked away, losing hope of becoming his friend.

"You're in."

"What?"

"You admitted the truth. I like that." Zexion finished his food and motioned for me to let him out of the seat.

"Hey Dem, you left?" Axel, Roxas, and Xion ran up to me once I came back into the building.

"Yeah." I shrugged as we began walking back to our dorms.

"That outfit... You're wearing Zexion's clothes?!?" Roxas looked shocked.

"Yo, what happened?" Axel smirked, waiting for my response.

"I took a walk, got caught in the rain, and ran into a Cafe. Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion had me change and study with them. I also asked Zexion if we could be friends." I unlocked the door to my dorm and walked in.

"You did? I think you forgot the word that goes in front of the word friend." Axel pat my back as Roxas chuckled.

"Best?" Xion flicked Axel's shoulder playfully.
