I was enjoying having Willy around. It was like having marshmallows twice a day without being questioned or disciplined about it. The girl talks we have had so far exceed what I could have talked about on my own to my readers like Laura. Like me, Will is incredibly stubborn and surprisingly charming especially when she gets herself out of the arguments we constantly have about the dishes and laundry. You guessed it right, I'm the problem. We argue seriously about everything specifically related to telenovelas and other series we watch from my laptop and sometimes from the TV. Being Mary Jane and Jane the virgin are our favorites so far. She wanted Rafael to end up with Jane and I wanted Michael to be her man again. We are still fighting about it whilst Willy is taking a shower. I love her so much.
"Okay I get it Willy, that Rafael is attractive, smart and owns and runs the hotel even after a few bumps but he ain't a husband kind of man." I could hear her sigh in disbelief but still fought me back.
"Look at how he's taking care of Mateo. Isn't that husband enough for you sis?" We both kept laughing half way through the conversation until we reached an agreement.
"Two question papers in biology. I bet you that you will fall in love with Michael by the end of Season 3."
"Fine!" agreed Willy now out of the shower in her bathrobe waiting for her little sister to join her as she dresses up in her room.
"So Olivia I wanted to ask you something yesterday before you fell asleep again in the middle of the show!"
"I already apologized for that Willy cum'on."
"Fine. My question is, you have been observing my progress with learning and all. I enjoy it and you've seen that I accumulate things fast. I've been wondering if it is possible for me to write my IGCSE when we open schools instead of waiting for next year. I will study hard I promise."
Willy was very intelligent, in that she was not lying. It came to Olivia's surprise when they had been studying together and learning some stuff on the Internet that Willy was not struggling at all. She was ambitious and eager to move faster. She envied her so badly. Such minds deserve sweets and chocolate cookies. Terrible for the brain's health so maybe vegetables and fruits.
"The thing is Willy, we are only half way through the syllabuses of all the subjects you are doing and please don't rush it. For now try and go through the stuff we've already covered and do your entrance exam tomorrow. Don't rush this."
"It's okay. I'm just afraid that after your finals you will leave for university and I will be stuck behind-"
"You won't be I promise. Your mind is special and don't worry about high school. If it fucks you over, screw it back and try and live your life." Willy finished dressing up in her shorts and oversize t-shirt. I gave her half her wardrobe and to be honest, it suited Willy best.
"Breakfast!" we both shouted and ran to the kitchen like silly 5th graders.
After a while of watching news on CNN, Willy paused reading Pride and Prejudice online and looked at Olivia sitting right across the room on the other couch. She was out of words.
"Inspired enough Willy?" They were not tired yet of teasing each other at every moment where one felt really stupid.
"Carrie just sent me a message. They're back!" There was no gladness in her tone. Maybe because she knew that was how Olivia felt in response to the news.
"Are you alright?" she asked concernedly switching her sitting position to the space next to Olivia.
"I'm fine. I just don't understand why Toby did not call or answer my emails. I really hope he's alright."
"Go and see him."
~Toby~
"Carrie! Carrie!" I was freaking out. I left her side for only two seconds and she is gone.
There were so many people in the airport that made me regret agreeing with Uncle Gerald and Aunt Mary to fly so early. I seriously did not see the need to hurry back home. Now everything is just not in my control anymore. Mom and dad already left and Carrie is not here. So many eyes are looking at me. Is it really that necessary. I hate this airport!
"Carrie!" I ran up the upstairs from the waiting area to downstairs to check by the baggage carousel and there was no sign of her.
"Carrie!"
"Hush brother you're shouting too loud! What is it with you today?"
"Don't do that again you little munch," I tried to be as civil as possible. Apparently she thinks I'm mean again. Five days in that country and I'm already a little devil. Great.
"Let's go the car is here." Carrie was excited to be back. She told Toby from Johannesburg all the way back here all about it. All the flights heading overseas first fly to Johannesburg and then to your desired state.
Home sweet home. I guess I did miss it here after all. My smooth bed and wait, by the way, "how can I forget you mirror on the wall!." I immediately texted Kevin to keep me posted on any party on tonight. I'm so ready!
An hour later
"Ballie where do you think you're going?" Aunt Mary did not seem pleased with his sudden need to leave the house after all that has happened to the family.
"Don't count me for dinner tonight, I will be pretty late."
"Boy don't come back home drunk! Tomorrow is opening day." Gerald is a quite man but at this moment he looks pissed. They were in disbelief that they were going back to stage one. Fighting with an eighteen year old.
"Toby wait!" called out Carrie. My car was speeding down the driveway. I had no time for a lecture. I wanted to get drunk and get laid tonight.
