Chapter 9

THE NEXT DAY
*Natsu's POV*
I was walking towards school when I find something quite interesting across the street. Luce.

I run up to her and place my arm over her shoulders, "Hey Luce" I say giving her a smile. She looks up and all I can see is a tired face. She had dark color under her eyes making it noticeable that she was tired.
"Are you ok" I asked. She looked up at me to give me a reassuring smile so I chose to put it behind me.

A few minutes later and we were getting closer to school but Luce started to walk slower and lose her balance a few times.
"Luce are you sure your ok?" I asked in a serious tone so she knew I was. She nodded and a few seconds later she fainted, inches from the ground but I caught her. I decided to skip school and take care of her instead so I carried her to my house bridal style.

I opened the door to my house and carried her to my room to lay her on my bed. I was going to walk away and leave her alone but I felt something hold my hand.

I looked back to see her holding my hand.
"Stay" she told me in a low tired voice and her eyes closed. I scooted her over and got under the covers with her. I laid my head facing her direction. 'She looks.........perfect' I thought when I suddenly felt her move closer to me "warm" she said. I chuckled and brought her even closer to me with my arms hugging her tightly, only to then fall asleep next to her and a smile on my face.

*Lucy's POV*
I felt something warm and someone holding onto to me tightly. I opened my eyes to come face to face with Natsu. He actually looked cute sleeping. I tried to move out of his grip, but he just held onto me tighter so I gave up and stayed in the bed with him. I looked back at him, he looked so calm and happy, I started to play with his hair, it was so soft and fluffy.

I stopped playing with his hair when I felt him move only to have him grab my hand and put it back on his hair. "Keep doing it" He said with a low husky voice and so I did. We stayed in the bed like that for what felt like hours and honestly I felt like I could've stayed there the whole day, that is until my phone rang.

I was about to pick up when I felt myself get dragged back into bed. I looked up to find Natsu looking at me with a serious face.
"Natsu I have to answer the call what if it's important" I told him pouting but he still held onto me tightly like if it was the last time.

"I don't care! The last time you answered it you left me and then disappeared for 5 days and when you came back you had a broken wrist!" He said angry but calm. I've never seen this side of Natsu and honestly I didn't like it. I liked his calm and playful side. This side screamed I'm gonna kill someone or do something bad all over.

I sighed and nodded my head agreeing to stay with him. He loosened the hug a bit letting me have room to move and breath. I turned around facing his chest and leaned my head towards it, hearing his breathing and heart beating.

"Lucy?"
"Yea"
"Why were you tired?" I looked up at him confused. He chuckled.
"You fainted because you were tired" I sat up remembering last night.
"Stuff" I said and just when I was gonna get out of bed he led onto my hand sitting up too.
"Don't pull that crap on me" He said in a mad tone. I knew I couldn't lie to him any longer. He already knew about the cutting and he's is already on to me so who knows what else he could find out.

"My dad, he um...... he wanted me to help him with something. I didn't want to, but he threatened me so I had to. It lasted the whole night. I only got an hour of sleep." I put my head down and felt tears falling down my face.
"What did he need help with?" He asked me in a low voice.
"He needed someone to serve him and his friends while they were playing a poker game. You know bring them beer and snacks, then my dad ran out of money to deal in so...... he made a bet. Said whoever wins gets to feel me up." I started crying even more. I felt Natsu wrap his arms around me and pull me close to him.

"And he lost, so when they called me in they cornered me and his friends started to feel me up. I slapped him and got away to hide, but when they left and I got out of my hiding spot my dad he slapped me." I placed my hand over my cheek.
"You never said what he threatened you with, can you tell me. If you don't mind?" I looked up at Natsu.
"He was going to use my little sister. So if it wasn't me it was going to be her." He looked at me with worried and saddened eyes as he held onto me closer.
"I'm so sorry" he said.
"You have nothing to be sorry for"
"Stay with me"
"Huh" and as soon as I said that a pair of lips came crashing onto mine. I was surprised but when I finally noticed what was happening I kissed him back and I could feel him smirk too. He brought me closer to him afraid I would part our lips, my hands moved to his hair bringing him towards me. He bit my lip asking for entrance but I didn't let him. He moved his hands from my back to my butt. He then squeezed it making me gasp so he took the opportunity to slip his tongue in. It explores every inch of my mouth.

After our 3 minute make out we finally parted out lips. Our eyes locked for a while before someone finally spoke.
"You know, you taste good. Just like strawberries with a hint of vanilla" I blushed a his comment.
"You know I meant what I said, I want you to stay here" he said still looking into my eyes.
"I-i-i wish I could but can't. I have to take care of my sister" I said sadly putting my head down
"Can't she stay the night somewhere" he questioned raising an eyebrow.
"She can stay the night with my brother" I said. He handed me my phone right away.

"Hello"
"Stingy-bee!"
"What do you want now"
"Awww you know me so well! Can Michelle stay at your place because I'm gonna stay at...... a friends place."
"By friends place do you mean boyfriend"
"I would never"
"You know Yukino says the same thing to her parents when she stays the night with me"
"Me and her are not the same person"
"Mhm, Well Michelle can't stay the night tonight I have some business to take care of tonight"
"Please I really don't want to go home after what happened last night and I promise to tell you what happened but can she stay please"
"You better tell me what happened and I'll pick her up after school wait...... aren't you suppose to be at school!"
"Thanks stingy-bee love ya byeeee"
"Lucyyyyyyy-"

Me and Natsu both bursted out laughing after I hung up on Sting. My first night over with Natsu...... I wonder what will happen.
