Chapter 14

*Natsu's POV*
It was time for Lucy to go home. Well... she wanted to if it was for me I would let her stay forever, but she wanted to see her sister since Sting said he had dropped her off a while ago.

We left the carnival to drop Wendy off at home and then I can just walk Lucy back.
"You really can't stay another night Lucy." Wendy said pouting. Lucy giggled.
"I wish I could, but I have a sister I need to take care of" she said shrugging her shoulder and sighing.
"Can't your parents take care of her" Lucy's smile went down for a second or two and her smile came back as she shakes her head no. Wendy sighed giving up as we arrived at the house.

Lucy went inside to grab her stuff since I brought her when we were supposed to go to school and she had stuff with her. She came back outside with everything she had ready to leave.

"Next time can you bring your sister and you can stay a whole weekend" Wendy said with shining eyes excited. Guess she really liked Lucy. Lucy nodded her head and hugged Wendy goodbye and then we started to walk towards her house.

We were at least 2 blocks away from her house when Lucy stopped.
"What's wrong Luce" I said walking towards her.
"Yea it's just... well you could drop me off here and I can walk the rest of the way." She said her head going down.
"No way, I'm waking you all the way! Now let's go!" I said grabbing her hand and pointing towards her house. She giggled.

We were now at in front of Lucy's door. She hesitated to ring the door bell almost as if she didn't want to.
"You alright Luce" she turned around to face me and gave me a smile.
"Totally fine" she turned back at the door and rang the door bell. You could here a few steps and... screams, glass being broken, and someone crying. Lucy tensed up as I felt her squeeze my hand.

"You sure your alright" she looked back at me and nodded. The door suddenly opened and I saw a blonde man look at me or glaring at me even. He must be Lucy's father.

"Lucy you were suppose to be home yesterday" he said with a mad tone.
"Gomen I spent the night at a friends house"
"A friends who's a boy" he said eyeing me.
"Hi I'm Natsu" I said reaching out my hand to shake it but nothing. Lucy must have really strict parents.
"Thank you for bringing her back, her and I have some important things to talk about" Lucy nodded and was about to go inside when she turned around and hugged me.

"Thanks for everything Natsu" I hugged her back. She looked at me in the eyes.
"In case I'm not at school, I just want to let you know that you don't have to worry I'll be back safe and sound" she said holding my hands and her father chuckled. Is something going on that I don't know about!?

"Bye Natsu" She as she walked into her home and her father slammed the door shut in my face and then screams....... I don't know what's going on in there, but... I don't think I want to know. And so I left.

*Lucy's POV*
I got off the floor holding my now bleeding arm with a few glass shatters.
"You never told me you had a boyfriends Lucy, are you becoming a slut!" my father yelled. I tried to run upstairs, but got yanked back by my hair and got thrown across the room.

"I was all alone in this house, all alone, you and Michelle were gone, but for some reason I liked it. No screams or stupid chatter, just me and my thoughts" he said pulling up a chair and sitting in front of me. This has never happened.

"And when I was alone I thought why am I doing this, then I remembered, your mother died, because of you. I have suffered so long because if you." I got up and started walking towards my father. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes.

"I hate doing this to you, but you need punishment, but when I look at you I see your mother. I don't want to hurt your mother, I want to hurt you. Everything I do makes no sense until I finally came up with a solution. Michelle." My whole body shivered when he said her name.

"She's why your so happy, she's the key to make you feel what I felt. That's why Michelle is going back to her own home at the orphanage tomorrow." Tears fell down my cheek, i was shaking.

Michelle, my mother loved her, and so did I. We all did when she was brought into our home. She was so tiny I was scared I was going to drop her when she came. My mother said, she's like a porcelain doll if you hurt her physically or emotionally she will break easily, so we have to protect her at all costs. She came from a broken home at the age of 4. I was 8. She looked like a 2 year old with the heart of a baby, the eyes of a baby. She had asthma, anxiety, and panic attacks. She still has it only she knows how to control it more.

"Dad you can't do that where would she go, what will happen to her! You can't take her away from me!" I yelled falling in my knees.
"I can and will tonight will be her last night. There is no changing my mind Lucy." He said getting up from his chair.
"Mom! Mom would not want this she lived Michelle and your just gonna take her away like nothing!"
"Your mom left us, she's gone, everybody always leaves Lucy."

"Then why are we still here........"
