It was the first day back at school and Harry was looking for Draco everywhere but couldn't seem to find him. He looked everywhere, the astronomy tower, classrooms, the Slytherin common room and even the RoR but he couldn't find him. Harry just decided to give up until he saw the boy at breakfast. Harry was confused as to why he couldn't find him all yesterday but he decided to leave it until the end of the day when they were in the dorms. He was partnered with Malfoy in DADA today but Malfoy wouldn't speak a word to him. They went the rest of the day without another run in with each other. Draco didn't show up to dinner, that worried Harry so he left dinner early to go and see if Draco was in their room. As Harry stepped into the room he saw Draco sitting on his bed reading a book that he didn't recognise.

“Hey Draco.” Harry said, stepping closer to the boy. He got no response.

“I just wanted to say thank you again for helping me out with Dean” Harry said now leaning on Draco's bed.

“Mhm” Draco said.

“I'm serious” Harry said.

Draco had some very familiar thoughts running through his head, he didn't want his Malfoy image to be ruined by being vulnerable to the boy who lived.

“LOOK STUPID, THE ONLY REASON I HELPED YOU IS BECUASE I FELT BAD FOR YOUR STUPID BOYFRIEND, HE DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU, ALL YOU ARE IS A PATHETIC PRICK!” Draco screamed before storming out of the room checking Harry’s shoulder on the way. Harry looked hurt with tears streaming down his face, not only was he single but it was official that the boy he loved hated him. He broke down on the Slytherin’s bed crying because he knew that Draco was right; he was pathetic and no would ever love him.

Draco couldn't believe he had pushed him away again, why was he so worried about his image, he just wanted to be loved by the emerald eyed boy he had just screamed at. He was crying as he walked past the door of the RoR thinking of a good place to cry.

The next day the two boys were back to their usual insults and snarky comments at each other. Their two friend groups hated watching them fight because the rest of them had been getting along so well. Pansy and Hermione had been spending a lot of time together and Blaise was still the only one that knew, everyone else just thought that they were just becoming really good friends. Her and Pansy were in such a good place in their relationship, nothing could mess it up, or so they thought. One day Hermione walked into their room ready to snuggle her girlfriend when she saw something that shattered her heart. She saw Pansy kissing Astoria on her bed.

“PANSY PARKINSON!” Hermione yelled at her girlfriend.

“Hermy, it’s not what it looks like!” Pansy said

“WHAT THE FUCK IS IT THEN?” Hermione asked, stepping closer to Pansy. That's when she noticed something wrong with Pansy. Her pupils were shaped like hearts.

“Pans, your eyes, their hearts, that can only mean one thing” Hermione said whipping her head around to look at Astoria.

“YOU GAVE HER A LOVE POTION!” Hermione yelled. Pansy turned around shocked, Hermione dragged her down to the common room.

“ASTORIA GREENGRASS GAVE PANSY PARKINSON A LOVE POTION!” Hermione yelled standing on a table in the common room.

“I gave her the potion so the only way to break the spell is for her to kiss her crush. No one even knows who Pansy’s crush is so that's not gonna happen.” Astoria said, smirking. Pansy looked over at Hermione with a smile on her face before taking the girl into her arms and planting a passionate kiss on her lips. Hermione started to kiss her back, everyone in the common room including Astoria were shocked at their actions. When they broke apart you could see Pansy’s pupils slowly return to normal. As they turned to look at the room everyone was shocked for a second, they all started cheering for the new couple as a few strong 8th years pinned Astoria against the wall. Hermy turned around and shot a quick bat bogey hex at the girl. They walked Astoria down to the Headmistresses office. They sat Astoria in a chair and explained everything to her. McGonagall told Astoria that she would have detention for the rest of the school year and told Pansy and Hermione to mail Astorias mother about what had happened. Astoria looked shocked and scared at that news. Once everything with Astoria was sorted out the two girls went back to the common room to find a party celebrating the news of the couple. There was drinking, dancing and everyone had so much fun and the party never seemed to end. They were having so much fun and the two girls spent the entire night together, drinking, dancing, laughing. It was fantastic but two people seemed to be missing from the party. Harry and Draco neither of them were there because they didn't want to run into each other at the party. Harry walked through the portrait and ran up to his dorm before being noticed by anyone. He opened the door to see the exact boy he was avoiding, instead of leaving he sat on his bed ignoring the looks he got from Malfoy.

“I thought you would be at the party celebrating your best friend.” Harry hissed.

“I could say the same for you” Draco said, his eyes not leaving to book in front of him.

“Mmh” Harry muttered, not wanting to get into an argument right now. That was all the interaction that the two boys had that day but Harry craved more interaction with the boy. He tried to start arguments or at least conversation with the blonde just to hear his angelic voice.

Draco felt the same way as Harry he loved when the boy talked to him even if it was an argument, he just needed interactment with the beautiful raven haired boy.

Blaise started to become very distant from the rest of the group; he always stares off at something but no one could figure out what. Until one day Hermione connected the dots and realized there was always one constant thing in his field of view when he was staring: Neville Longbottom.
