The Never Ending Battle - Draco x Harry {Discontinued}

Chapter 10- Love

Harry and Draco are going on their first date today. Only Harry, Draco, Hermione and Pansy knew about it.  Harry was nervous about it but he was so excited to be in a relationship with someone who seemed to care about him unlike Ginny or Dean. He was getting ready in Hermione's room so him and Draco and him didn't have to see each other before the date like some premarital superstition. Draco wore a slim fit long sleeved blck button down shirt, a black blazer, black ripped jeans and black high top muggle shoes called Vans with his Slytherin scarf. Harry wore a white button up shirt, a leather jacket, black skinny jeans, his Gryffindor red converse and Gryffindor scarf. The two boys' outfits were approved by Pansy and Hermione. Draco walked with Pansy to the meeting spot next to the black lake. He was nervous because this was finally happening, 7 ½ years of love disguised as enemy rivalry has been leading up to this moment. Pansy waited until Harry got there with Hermione, she gave Draco a kiss on the cheek and left for her date with Hermione. 

“Hi” Harry said, blushing.

“Hey,” Draco said. With that little conversation the two boys headed off to The Three Broomsticks.

“How's your 8th year going for you?” Draco said nervously.

“It's going well, it's nice to have Remus teaching Transfiguration.” Harry said, surprising Draco at the use of a Professor's first name.

“Yeah he's pretty cool” Draco said.

“Yeah but he's going to have to take some time off this week.” Harry said.

“Why's that?” Draco asked.

“Oh u-” Harry started. 

“Hello boys, What can I get for you today?” Madame Rosemerta said, interrupting their conversation.

“Two Butterbeers please.” Draco said slightly angry that she had interrupted.

“Very well, I’ll be back.” She said walking away to the bar. 

“You were saying?” Draco said curiously.

“Well, Professor Lupin as a werewolf, he was bitten by Greyback when he was very young. He takes the Wolfsbane potion but takes time off every month to ensure that he doesn't put any students in danger.” Harry said nervous about what Draco's reaction may be.

“Oh good to know” Draco said calmly as Madame Rosemerta brought the mugs full of Butterbeer to the table. After finishing their drinks they walked around to some shops around Hogsmead. Harry willingly bought anything that caught his date's eye. Ignoring the protests coming from the blonde boy. Throughout the whole date something seemed off with the boy ever since he brought up Remus. Harry found it interesting but decided to ignore it and continue on with the date. They took a long walk around the black lake where they held hands for the first time. They sat down to watch the stars.

“Draco” The blonde said, pointing at a constellation in the sky.

“It's beautiful” Harry said pausing “Just like you”

“That's not true.” Draco said turning away.

“Yes it is, I will tell you that everyday until you believe it.” Harry said, pulling Draco into a sitting position. He kissed Draco slowly and calmly, when Draco realized what was happening he kissed back leaning toward the boy. Ginny was walking around the grounds alone when she saw the two boys kissing, a plan started to form in her mind to expose them to the whole school.

The morning after the date everyone woke up as normal Harry and Draco shared a short kiss before heading off to breakfast. 

“Hey do you three want to sit with us at the Gryffindor table today?” Hermione asked the three Slytherins.

“Yeah, sure” Draco said, much to Ron's surprise. They all took a seat at the table when they saw a figure in a black cloak much smaller than any of the teachers walking up to the podium. The figure spoke to McGonagall before stepping to the podium and removing the cloak. It was Ginny. 

“I would like to bring something to everyone's attention” She started, “I saw something last night that I was frankly disgusted to see. Something odd is going on  in this school right now, something that i assure you no one here would have expected. I am not going to upfrontly say what but I ask you all to please look over that Gryffindor table and tell if you notice anything out of the ordinary.” She finished and with that all eyes turned to Harry Potter who was sitting un-naturally close to Malfoy and was holding his hand under the table. People started whispering and pointing at the two.

“I saw Harry with Malfoy in Hogsmeade yesterday!” said a shocked looking Raverclaw standing up and pointing at the pair. Without missing a beat Harry jumped up from  his seat and ran toward the smirking redhead standing at the front of the hall. He pulled out his wand and immediately pinned Ginny up against the wall with a NEWT level restraining spell. 

“YOU ARE A DIRTY VILE HUMAN, YOU KNOW THAT GINERVA” Harry shouted, it hurt Ginny to hear The Boy Who Lived call her by her full name.

“YOU’LL BE LUCKY IF I DON'T HIT YOU WITH A CURSE THAT WILL SEND YOU RIGHT BACK TO LAST YEAR DURING THE WAR!” Harry yelled even louder, the whole Great Hall gasped at this remark. 

“I DEFEATED LORD VOLDEMORT DO YOU THINK I CANT HANDLE A WEAK DAFT SEVENTH YEAR?” Harry said his tone was still rising.

“GINERVA MOLLY WEASELY, I AM HARRY FUCKING POTTER AND I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR FROM YOU, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME YOU EVIL CREATURE?” Harry said his wand not about a foot away from Ginny. Ginny just nodded, she did not expect this kind of fallout from her actions.

“I-I’m sorry Harry” She said, little did everyone know she just did this to bring attention to herself, trying to get a certain person to notice her. 

“Why did you do it?” Harry said, refusing to release Ginny from the wall.

“I wanted to impress someone!” She shouted. 

“What” Harry said, Ginny just nodded. Harry released her from the wall, “Who?” Harry asked. Ginny muttered something.

“WHO!?” Harry said louder.

“LUNA FUCKING LOVEGOOD!” Ginny shouted, immediately putting her hand on her mouth as she realized what she just said.

“Your… Gay?’ Harry asked, Ginny responded with another nod.

“YOU BROKE MY HEART AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE ABSOLUTE SHIT FOR BEING GAY IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL YOU STUPID HYPOCRITE!” Harry screamed.

“I know, Harry I’m so sorry, I feel terrible but I did that before I realized my feelings. I regret it so much now and all I want to do is to fix it because I miss you, even as a friend.” Ginny said collapsing to her knees. Harry wasn’t one to hold a grudge to someone so vulnerable, so without another thought he ran up to the sobbing girl and pulled her into his arms. 

“Oh, Gin It’s okay, I forgive you.” Harry said soothingly.

“Are you sure?” Ginny asked through sobs.

“Of course I am, now go talk to Luna before it’s too late.” Harry said helping the girl up and wiping a tear off her cheek. She ran over to the Ravenclaw table but did not find the girl so she ran out of the Great Hall to the 8th year dormitories. 

“Is it true?” a Hufflepuff shouted at Harry. Harry knew exactly what the kid was talking about. He waved Draco over to the front of the Hall. Draco walked up and gave Harry a confused looked dropping his Malfoy smirk. 

“I love you Draco Malfoy.” Harry said smiling

“I love you too Harry Potter.” Draco said. Harry then pulled Draco into a love filled kiss in front of the whole school. The whole school including the teachers cheered for them. They didn't break apart not wanting the best moment of their lives to end.
