Y/n's POV.

The following day we barely saw each other because of the things we needed to do.

I was walking back to the kingdom from seeing Tzuyu when someone pulled my arm. It was an older looking guy, but he still looked young.
Y/n: "Can I help you sir?"
Guy: "Y/n?"
Y/n: "Yes, that's my name. But how do you know it?"
Guy: "You really don't remember me? Look closer and think really hard."
I looked into his eyes and just like that.

Y/n: "JIN?"
He laughed.
Jin: "There we go!"
Y/n: "H-How?"
Jin: "Lets catch up. I need to tell you something too."

Jin served my dad when he was king, he was like my only best friend in the kingdom. After my parents passed away, I never saw him again.

Y/n: "So, how are you doing?"
Jin: "Hm, surviving I guess. But I'm doing pretty good. I heard you're the guard for the Princess now."
Y/n: "Ah, yeah."
Jin: "But you should've been the next person to the throne."
Y/n: "I know, but there's nothing I can do now."
Jin: "No, you can still do something about it. I know some things you don't Y/n. I was your dad's second hand when he was king. Listen to me and listen to me very carefully."

I listened as he spoke.
Jin: "King Park, stole your position as King. He....
Y/n: "He what?"
Jin: "H-He killed your parents to take the position of King."

W-What?

No, he wouldn't.

Everything started getting dizzy and I was wobbling. Jin held me up.
Jin: "Y/n, are you okay?"
His voice sounded so distant but I still nodded. How could King Park just kill my parents? I finally became conscious.

Y/n: "H-How do you know?"
Jin: "I saw it happen Y/n. I-I'm sorry I couldn't do anything about it because he threatened to kill my family too. I'm sorry for leaving you behind and suffering. But you can still take your place."
Y/n: "Jin, I can't anymore. And even if I try, how?"
Jin: "You're tattoo."
I gasped.

Jin: "If you show your tattoo to the royals, I'm sure they'll let you. But have you found someone else with a tattoo like yours too?"
I nodded.
Y/n: "The Princess has one too. She's supposed to be my Queen right?"
Jin: "Correct. Are you going to take your position?"
Y/n: "I'll think about it Jin. Let's go drinking."
Jin: "Aish you shameless child."

Three hours later.

Y/n: "I'm gonna head back now Jin, lets meet up again tomorrow."
Jin: "Sure, just come to the old trails where we used to practice."
I smiled at the memory.
Y/n: "You got it."
I hugged him and then walked back to the kingdom.

At the kingdom.

King Park: "Y/n!"
Fuck, here we go.
Y/n: "Yes?"
King Park: "Come to the dining room in an hour, we're gonna have dinner."
Y/n: "Okay. I'll be there."
I went up to my room and passed Jisoo's room. Should I check on her?

I opened her door and saw her sitting by her makeup desk. She looked at me through the mirror and smiled once she saw it was me.
Jisoo: "Hey babe."
Y/n: "Hey. I'm gonna take a nap in here okay?"
Jisoo: "Go ahead. I might join you."
Y/n: "Okay."
I closed the door and laid down on her bed. But I couldn't sleep. I shouldn't be mad at Jisoo, she didn't do anything to me. It was her parents. She probably doesn't even know about this.

Jisoo's POV.

I watched Y/n through the mirror. She was tossing and turning so I went to go lay down next to her.
Jisoo: "What's wrong N/n?"
She opened her eyes and looked at me with a small smile.
Y/n: "Nothing, just some stress."
Jisoo: "Stop lying. Tell me, I'll listen."
I sighed.

Y/n: "It's really nothing Jisoo-ah."
Jisoo: "I won't be mad if you tell me."
We both sat up and I cupped her cheeks.

Y/n: "I don't think you can handle it Jisoo. If I tell you, you're gonna hate the people you love and cherish the most. Because I feel like that, I'm not gonna let you bare the pain with me. Just let me take all the pain okay? So that you can live a problem free life."
Jisoo: "You can't be the only one handling all the pain Y/n. You need to tell me so we can go through it all together. Didn't you tell me that?"
Y/n: "I did, but this is something you shouldn't know Jisoo-ah. It'll really break you and your heart. You're gonna want to do things that are really bad because of me. I'll tell you soon okay?"
Jisoo: "But-

Someone knocked at the door.
Maid: "Dinner is ready kids."
Jisoo: "Alright! But you better tell me soon Choi Y/n."
Y/n: *laughs* "I will."
We both went down to eat, but saw my parents not in a good mood.

Dad: "Sit down, I have news."
We did so.
Dad: "Europe wants war with us."
Me and Y/n both stood up. 
Y/n: "What?"
Jisoo: "What?"
Dad: "I know."
Y/n: "When?"
Dad: "In two days Y/n."
Y/n: "It's possible. The new guards should be ready for their first battle. Are we going to be outnumbered?"
Dad: "No, about the same."
Y/n: "Okay, I'll let them know tomorrow."
Jisoo: "Are you going to fight in it as well?"
Y/n: "I was told to protect you Jisoo. I won't leave your side unless I need to."

We ate in silence, thinking about what would happen.

But then a guard and Daniel came bursting in.

Daniel: "Jisoo! Let's talk!"
King Park: "What is this?"
Guard: "I'm sorry sir, we tried to hold him back but he broke in anyways."
Jisoo: "Take him away, make sure he never gets in again."
Guard: "Right away Princess."
Daniel: "No! Let me talk to her!"
Y/n: "You talked to her yesterday already you worthless pig."
Y/n said in a loud and scary tone.
That shut him up and the guard took him away. 

She stabbed the potato on her plate and ate it.
Y/n: "I swear, two more seconds and I would've stabbed him with my fork Jisoo-ah."
She whispered to me and I put my hand on her thigh under the table to calm her. It worked because her breathing was softer.
