10am seems like midnight, Joanne yawns, as she struggled to get up from bed after a long repetitive sounds from the alarm clock by her bedside. On a regular midweek, a beep is enough to stirred her to jump out bed to bath, but this time it seems like the same sound couldn't even move a tip of her hair.
'Why would I at all, set alarm on a Saturday?' I ask myself as I stretch my hand to pick up my mobile device. I so much cherish the cell phone, it was a present from my dad last month. It's been over three years since he last gave me a present, but now he gives me not a just a gift, but my dream cell phone. I had even placed his picture as the wallpaper with the caption lovely dad.
A text pops up immediately I twice tap the screen. 'Who could this be?' I wondered as I swiped up to review the information. 'Have a splendid weekend and stay stress-free, Sam,' is the content of the text.
'Sam, Samuel, why would he text me? I hardly had a conversation with him the other time, why would he text me?' I began to soliloquizing within. 'Or why not, it's very evident he's interested in my gorgeous self of course, well could it be him, might he be the mister right, my prince charming? No no, it can't be. But why couldn't I get through this, why can't I get his thought off my head.' I stoop to get a glass of water.
Vroom, a phone call cuts my meditation short. It's Anita my best friend, she's my only gist partner, but we both have decided not to show up at our homes or even put a call through except it's weekend or necessarily important. 'Hello sweetie, how do you feel about the daylight?' Anita said with a cool homely voice. 'Hi babe, it's neither too cool nor bright, what do you feel?' I responded. 'How about lunch today, my house, 2pm, deal?' Anita requested. I most certainly can't turn down the offer, she's my best friend, and I definitely don't have a pre-scheduled plan.
Now there is an appointment, a promise to fulfill, I kept on reechoing as I move towards the bathroom to have a shower.
I came out of the bathroom, hoping to begin dressing up, then I noticed another text on my cell phone again. 'Who could it possibly be again,' I exclaimed as I swiped up my cellphone and noticed it's Anita again.
'Try come early, am waiting, Nitty' the text says.
'This lazy friend of mine, should she not get something doing on weekends than gist, anyways let me make haste, so I won't keep her waiting for too long,' I said to myself as I moves towards the mirror, and stretch my hand to lift a powder carton box.
'Amazing Princess' I adulate myself as I completed the make over and creating an attractive weekend appearance for myself. 'Why all this make over, after all, it's just a courtesy visit? Anyway, I need to always look pretty wether or not it's a visit. Am I not woman a woman in my prime?' I continues to soliloquize within as I move towards the wardrobe to get a nice apparel to fit in. After flipping through different gowns and suits, I found this pink mini gown I'd abandoned for months, put it on, and then move towards the shoe rack.
'This, no, this, mmm,' I was divided between a pair low silver  slippers and a pair of black sandals. After some minutes of gesticulating hands here and there, I finally settled for the silver slippers. I grabbed my purse and move towards the living room. I picked a bunch keys and head towards the threshold.

I had been up early in the day, I couldn't make myself sleep so long after what happened last night.
My name is Anita Harit, but I prefer to be addressed as Nitty, of course an old fashioned word meaning elegantly shining. I am an accountant at Clearstone PLC. Joanne is my best friend and my gist partner. But today isn't about Joanne, it actually about me.
It was my day off work and my boyfriend has promised to make it a wonderful one for me. I hadn't understood what he meant early enough as we both on several occasions has spent days off work together on several occasions, touring several locations and enjoy many nice time. I had even spent half of my work leave with him and he never mentioned that he was doing or has done anything outstanding, but as he had promised this time I did hope it would have to be truly different.
I tried, woke up earlier than usual for a day off, made myself more beautiful like the princess Cinderella, with a very stylish gown, and unique hairdo hoping to meet my prince also in a marvelous attire. But surprised I was when I saw him in a simple, French suit. I try hide exclamatory remarks, but was even more surprised when he mentioned that he wants them to visit la pastique, our regular restaurant. I just kept wondering how he intends making the day more outstanding than others.
The story line changed when evening was setting and I thought it was time to go home. Then he told me, he has one more place he wants us to visit before setting on the way home. I had tried to hide her disappointment over time, hoping to release it on any other day he mentions such a statement again. As they set the journey I sure knows the whole story is heading towards Homes, my favorite spot. I wondered why he never suggested that initially, but as they say, it's better late than never. Trying to hide my curiosity as we had a nice conversation in the car.
As soon as we got to Homes, he told me not to step out as he rush towards the other side of the car, and carefully opened the door for me to alight. Although this isn't an unusual activity from him, I still felt honoured as some onlookers, kept staring at us, until he made me sit on a specially dressed sit. Then he quickly excuse himself for some minutes. I suddenly became suspicious as my chair seems specially designed amidst others, but then became more suspicious as some sort of orchestra group moved closer and began playing some appealing tune, round me.
Next I noticed Paul coming in, dressed in a uniquely designed black suit, as he moved closer to me, a thrill like an ice bar ran through my spine. Next he knelt before me wearing a charming smile, lifting a Beautiful gold ring with a sapphire stone sparkling on it and asked 'Will you marry me'. I became numb, but was called back to life by some resounding echoes from behind, saying 'Say yes!' It was a few friends of Paul, he seems to have everything mapped out. I lifted him up, and exclaimed 'Yes! Yes!' as I jumped on his shoulders. Thank goodness, Paul was fit, Else he might have been sent off by the swift embrace I gave. After Paul brought me home, it just seems like the day shouldn't end, but it did and the memories still remains fresh with me.
'How come I never saw that coming,' I queried myself. 'After all he has told me he will make it wonderful, and he still made the day look usual, I should have known he has something else in store. I was so dumb, thank God I haven't overreacted all the while,' I still kept pondering over it, carefully cuddling the ring on my middle finger and wouldn't want to wait to relate every bit of it to my best friend, Joanne. I tried tidy up the house and get some food prepared for Joanne, but I just couldn't stop thinking about Paul. When I saw his text earlier in the day, it seems like he was standing before me and winking at me. I'm definitely drowning in the deep sea of love.
