Chapter 14

Just a heads up ! This is not a memory or sum bro its a dream just in case people do think its a memory. The parts not about matthew are not a dream, its what's happening currently. Ok that's all im tryna stay just in case for those confused

"Hey..you okay? Matthew?" I opened my eyes slowly, seeing so much light in front of me. "Hm? Yeah im okay i just had the weirdest dream that Gotham was burning and everything was terrible and i couldn't save anyone.." I said before noticing my voice was light and squeaky. "Wow what a dream huh? Matthew's always getting these type of nightmares all the time ain't that right honey." I look over and see a beautiful young woman, with the most shiniest black hair i've ever seen. "Thomas don't say that, its ok honey you're just in your room now." I stood up from my bed and look at both of them. "what the hell?!" 

Suddenly a young man with slick brown hair entered the room, wearing a tux and holding a napkin in his hands. "Is something wrong here Master Wayne?" I noticed that accent. "Alfred..?" "Yes everything's fine here Alfred just Matt is getting a little too paranoid and scared. But why don't you make him a nice and big delicious breakfast. Its the first day of middle school or well school in general i should say." The man chuckled. I just stared at them both. "He's probably just scared for the first day. Come on Thomas lets give him some space." The woman or i should say..mom said. She kissed the top of my head as she left the room with my father. I looked around. It looks exactly like my room when i was younger. I got up and shook my head. "Ow.." I dunno if it was head rush or im having one hell of a headache. I went to the bathroom to wash my face. After a few splashes of water onto my face, i looked into the mirror and- "AH!" I fell back and got back up, slowly looking up from the sink. I'm..so young. No older than 10. I felt my face. No facial hair, just soft clear skin. My hair wasn't curly or wavy it was..spiky sorta. My old type of hair i used to have which i thought was cool. I'm so confused. I was just in the batmobile..what happened. "Matthew!" I heard my..dad say. I shook my head and got ready quickly. "Coming!"

THE BATCAVE

"Oh no no no!" Luke said looking at the monitors. Tatsu came up from behind him. "What?" Luke shook his head and started fiddling with the keyboard. "Matt"s not moving, like neither him or the batmobile!" Tatsu turned pale for a minute but took a deep breath before quickly getting a bag from the corner. "When did that get th-.." He didn't get to finish once she spoke. "Get to him and figure out what's wrong." Luke nodded but raised an eyebrow looking at her, "And you?" Tatsu cracked her knuckles and sighed. "You'll see." She said before taking a katana out of the bag.

Matthew laughed as he continued eating his delicious breakfast Alfred made for him. "Hahaha wow he really did that dad?" Thomas nodded and laughed along with him. Martha came up and hugged Thomas behind. Matthew smiled at them, his parents finally in front of him after so long. So long with them gone. Alfred jingled the keys in front of him, "Master Matthew school will start shortly." Matt sighed and got his backpack. "Right..yay school."  Thomas chuckled and knelt in front of him. "Son school is very important. And i know you know so much but this is a new chapter for you. A normal life to get you through what's to come son." Matthew looked confused. "What's gonna come dad?" Martha knelt down beside Thomas and put her hand on his shoulder. "Well sweetie..we'll have to wait and see."  Matthew sighed and nodded before hugging them both tightly. "I love you.." 

"Alright how many of them in there?!" Tatsu asked over the com as she rode her motorcycle to Gotham General. "Wait where are you going though? There's two places under att-" "Luke we have no time! I just gotta finish up at Gotham General then try to make it to GCPD!" She said as she started speeding up. Tatsu tried to seem as confident as she can but deep down? She was scared and she really hopes Matt is okay..for all we know..all Gotham knows how much we need him right now.  Tatsu gets there soon and gets off the motorcycle, with the katana in her hand. She'd ask Luke where they are but she knows he's trying to get to Matthew as quick and soon as possible. She's on her own now. A man starts yelling and cries for help, alerting her to run in and find that there's a whole entire group of thugs holding their guns in front of the man. Tatsu takes a deep breath as they start shooting at her. She uses the katana to bounce off all the bullets, some hitting them. "Huh? the hell are you supposed to be?!" One of the thugs said before running towards Tatsu. Once he threw a punch she grabbed his arm and twisted it before sweeping his legs and making him fall. She stepped hard on his hand before back flipping into another one of the thugs. The rest of them looked at her and grunted before charging at her. Tatsu swung into one of them and throwing her into 2 others. One of the thugs hit her with a bat and the other shot her leg. She moaned and took the pain as she used her katana to cut his arm and throw a ninja star at the other guy's arm. They groaned and fell to the ground, as Tatsu looked at all of them laying on the floor moaning. She walks over to the civilian. "Its okay." He shakes and nods before running out of there. "Tatsu?! You there?!" she heard Luke spoke. "Yeah that was pretty easy Luke im on my way to GC-" "No! there's more coming and they are not even close to the pretty normal street thugs you fought." He gets off the com as he gets near Matthew's location. Tatsu sighed and got up getting ready to fight off the others. "Here goes nothing." 

After school I walked lonely to the front of the school, waiting for Alfred. I wait there before i see two people that look so familiar. "Wait..no way!" I thought before running over to them. "Hey guys! Luke! Tatsu!" They looked over at me, confused and kinda weird. "Umm do we know you?" Luke said as he fixed his uniform. "No Luke that's the new rich kid." "Ohhh yo my bad man im guessing you're gonna need help for the history test tomorrow?" he said as Tatsu nodded looking over at me. I look weirdly at them. "Uh guys its me. Matthew..is this a prank or..?" They looked at each other for a split second and shook their head. "We don't know you..uh Matthew i think," Tatsu said. I shook my head and slowly started walking backwards. "No... no no no.." I mouthed before i saw Alfred pull up in the limo. "Master Matthew, your parents have informed me they are going to celebrate your first day. You can join them in the back," Alfred said before rolling the window down in the back for me to see my parents sitting there all fixed up and everything.  "Guys!" I quickly get in and sigh, sitting across from them. "You alright sweetie?" Mom asked me rubbing my knee. "I thought..my friends knew me. Instead just said i was the new kid..the new rich kid." "Hey its alright Matt the same thing happened to me when your grandfather sent me to school. But you know what? I decided to never have friends after that, well..not until i met your mother." He smiled at her, holding her hand as they pecked each other's lips. "Master Wayne, we're here." Alfred said. We get out and i see this gigantic stadium and so many voice are being echoed in it. "Uh dad what's this?"  He puts his hands on my shoulders and winks before saying, "Oh this son..this is the opera." I turn pale. The Opera. I look over at them and they look exactly..like that night. I look over at my mom. "Oh by the way Matthew honey, did you see the lovely pearls your dad got me?" i gulp and shake my head, before bursting out crying. "NO! NO NO NO!" I start running away before hearing them call my name. Eventually they catch me, but only because i stopped and sat down sobbing. "Hey..its okay its okay, if you don't wanna go in thats okay son." I look up at him before hearing a gun click. "Hey!" My mom turns and hides behind my dad frightened. NO THIS CAN'T HAPPEN! I start to run after him my mom catches me and stops me and the man shoots her. My dad sees this and grunts, punching him and trying to take the gun before getting shot as well. I shake my head and look down at them..my mom's pearls everywhere..my beautiful mother and my amazing father, laid dead. I hear and feel the gun up to my head. "Your turn." 

"NO!" He yells as he wakes up. "Matt?! Woah woah calm down man calm down." Matthew blinks over and over, trying to fully wake up and see what's happening. He hears the sirens and cars and alarms, everything going on. "I'm back.." "Huh? Look it doesn't matter Tatsu is at Gotham General trying to fight off Anarky's guys and who knows what's going on at GCPD!" Luke says as he tries touch Batman's arm. Matthew stops him and looks at him. "Find a way to get to Gordon and to fight off the thugs." Luke nodded before getting out of the vehicle. "And y-" Before he finishes, Batman already drives off.  

Back at Gotham General, Tatsu is still trying to fight them off but each time a group comes they have more armory or guns or defense. She stabs one of them with her katana before hitting her midsection from a big guy. They start to surround her, getting ready to attack them until all of a sudden- the lights go out.
