Sammy

I watch as Maple leaves the classroom, content that he openly rejected Lila. It means he must be smart. Also, that he has good taste.

Lila just continued to glare at me in our next class which was English.  I just ignored her. No point in wasting my time an energy giving her attention. So, instead, I listened to the teacher, Mr. Righter, tell us our assignment for the day.

"Just write a short story. Doesn't have to be about anything in particular. I am just grading on your writing skills, not what your story is about. This will be leading us into our next lesson which is stories. Please take the rest of class to complete this."

I stare down at my notebook.

What should I write about?

Maybe just a random story?

That's when I decided to write a story about a bunny. It was simple. The bunny was in a new part of the woods and he befriends a fox. Together they go on adventures and spend the rest of their lives as close friends. The end. Done.

The bell rings loudly, causing a few students to jump. I shake my head, chuckling as I turn my story in. Mr. Righter nods his head in approval as he reads my story.

"Good job Mr. Plush." he states, giving me a slight nod. I nod back, leaving to go to my next class: Algebra.
