School, Fighting, Arrests

Everything is a mess. Chilton is kicking my ass, Lorelai and Rory's grandmother passed away and Luke and Nicole are fighting.

After school I got home and the diner was silent. You could hear the yelling coming from upstairs.

I don't know if they were quiet because they wanted to hear, or because they were afraid of making noise. I didn't even change out of my uniform, I just went straight to Scarlett's.

We sat at her kitchen table as I worked through my mountain of homework. She sat with me even after she was done with her work, and kept asking me if I needed anything.

After a few hours of working I was able to put a dent in my work load. Scar and I watched a movie before I decided it was safe and Scar walked me home.

When I get in Luke tells me we are staying at the house tonight. A lot of my stuff is there now, so I don't have to pack anything.

We close and head to Litchfield. We have dinner with Nicole and it is mostly awkward silence.

She does ask me how school is going. I tell her it's stressful. I ask her about work and she gives me a bland it's fine.

After dinner I went to hide in my room. They started fighting again. I was able to mostly ignore it until I heard my name.

Neither were calling for me. No. Nicole was complaining about me. Of all the time we've known her she has never had a problem with me being around.

Why of all times didn't she decide to bring this up now? I just changed into my pajamas and got into bed. I couldn't sleep with the yelling, so I just read for a while.

The yelling finally stopped, but before I could fall asleep someone slowly opened my door. I see Luke stick his head in.

"Hey," he says.

"Hey," I quietly reply.

He steps in and closes the door behind him.

"You head every bit of that did you?" He asks.

"Yeah."

He signs walking over to me. I sit up and he sits on the edge of my bed.

"You know I love you, right?"

"Yeah, Uncle Luke."

"And you know I love having you around."

"I like being around, Luke."

"Good. That's good."

He's quiet. I know he doesn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry about what she said. I don't know where that came from. She had no right to say those things about you, about Jess."

"It's fine Luke," I tell him, playing with my blanket.

He sighs again.

"Get some sleep kids."

"Goodnight, Uncle Luke," I say, laying down.

"Night," he says leaning down to kiss my forehead.

He leaves and I quickly fall asleep.

The next morning we are both in a rush. Luke decides he's going to drive me to school instead of me taking the bus.

On the way Luke looks like something is bothering him. Finally about halfway there he finally says something.

"These aren't my socks," he says.

I kind of laugh.

"What do you mean?"

"These aren't my socks," he repeats.

"Then-then who's are they?" I ask.

"She had some other guys socks," he mumbles.

We don't say anything else to each other, he just drives and I just sit quietly.

This set me in kind of a fuzz for the rest of the day. I somehow manage to focus enough to get all the information I need for class.

I get back to Stars Hollow and into the diner. I do what I always do when I get home. I change and then help in the diner until I have to do homework.

Luke tells Caesar and I he has to go do something and leaves. Caesar leaves a few hours before closing.

It's really slow and there are only a couple of people, so I'm able to serve everyone, start cleaning and even do a little more homework.

My last person leaves and I still have a couple of hours and my last person just left. Then the phone rings.

"Luke's diner."

"Hey, Willow. It's Luke. Something happened and I need someone to get me," Luke says.

"What happened?"

"I may or may not have fought a car and gotten arrested," he replies.

"Um, uh, okay. Caesar already left. Lorelai- I can go get Lorelai," I tell him.

"Alright."

He tells me where to find him and how much he needs for bail. I call Lorelai and she doesn't answer. I leave a message before running upstairs.

I get money from the box I hide in my closet, I slip on tennis shoes and run back downstairs. I grab my coat from the rack, turn off the lights and lock up before I take off running in the direction of the Crap Shack.

I run up just as a car is pulling away. I recognize the drives as Lorelai's by friend. I get to the bottom of the steps just as she opens the front door.

"Jeep. Go," she says, throwing me her keys.

I ran to the passenger side of her car, got in and put the key in the ignition. She gets in just as I start it, and pulls the car into reverse, and off we are to Litchfield.

"Do you know what he did?" she asks me.

"He said he fought a car."

"What does that mean?"

"I think Nicole had her guy over, and he saw them."

"You know about that?" she asks.

"Yeah. I was in the car with him when he came to the realization about the socks," I replied.

We get Luke and go back to get his truck. When we get there he gets mad again and starts kicking the guy's car again. We are able to get him in the truck and we all go home.
