"Everyone hand in you permission slips"

Y/n handed hers in as well as Ron, Harry(just pretend he had a permission slip) and Hermione.

All four of us walked through the snow out into the town. Draco was leaning against the wall with Pansy clinging to his arm. Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle were surrounding him.

"Can we go over to Draco?" I ask. The three exchange looks. "Common, He can't be that mean to you." Y/n pulls Harry and the other two follow.

"Y/n!" Draco's smile immediately dissolves when he sees who y/n is with.

"And what is a girl like you doing with disgusting people like this trio." Draco spat. "Be nice" Y/n says punching him lightly in the shoulder.

"Malfoy, If you are trying to impress and girl, it isn't working right now." Harry stares Draco down.

"At least I get girls. Anyways why are you here, you don't have your mommy and daddy to sign your permission slip." The group laughs.

Harry takes a deep breath and just walks away. Ron and Hermione follow but Y/n stays back.

"Draco, what bloody hell was that!"
Y/n was baffled by Draco's behavior.

She pulled him aside. "Why were you being so rude to my friend."

"Friend, trust me, anyone that has to do with Potter isn't a friend especially Potter."

"Harry apparently happens to be one of my favorites here!" Y/n snaps back.  "Well, i don't see it, Sterling. What's so special about him?"

This was the first time Draco called her Sterling and it hurt. Even though that killed y/n on the inside, she had to stick up for her friends.

"He's everything your not!" Y/n took off the ring and threw it into the snow. as she stomped off.

Draco dived into the snow looking for the ring she carelessly threw. He found it by the hot chocolate stand, he picked it up and put it in his pocket.

"Guys wait up! You were right, he's a douche." I look to Hermione. "Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so." She says giggling.

The four walk to Honeydukes and buy as many sweets allowed. They take them to a table and start to eat.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Ron questions Y/n. "Nope i'm fine."

To break the silence Harry speaks. "The Yule ball is coming up." Hermione looks at Ron.

"Oh yea! I herd about that. I would of gone with Draco but..."

"Don't worry about it, any guy will be lucky enough to take you." Ron smiles at y/n. They agree

"Thanks guys, so who are you guys planning on bringing."

Y/n saw Hermione look and Ron when the ball was brought up.

"I really want to bring Cho." Harry says quickly. "You should ask her!" Y/n hypes up Harry.

"I don't know about that" Harry says apprehensively. "You got this." Y/n puts a lollipop in her mouth.

The whole day Pansy was clinging to Draco. Draco tried his best to cover up how he was feeling. He was mad at Y/n but he still cared for her.

When they were on the line for hot chocolate, Pansy got very close to Draco. She snuck her hand into Draco pocket and took out Y/n's ring. She placed it in her coat pocket with a smirk.

Unfortunately, Draco didn't notice until he got back to his room. He went to take the ring out of his pocket and nothing was there. He frantically searched his room.

In anger, he punched a hole in the wall. Then he covered the hole with a picture frame.
