Chapter Eighteen: Caught Cheating

It's been about two months since the accident with Damien that happened at the mall and everything has gone back to normal except the fact that Damien avoids me all the time. 

I wouldn't blame him though, every time he even looks at me when Kody is around, Kody glares at him like there is no tomorrow but Kody seems to become more distant over these past few weeks and I can't get him to tell me why.

He has been hanging out with his friends more often, telling me he is busy when I ask if he wants to go out, and he barely texts or calls me anymore and lately, I have been getting a theory that I hope it isn't true. 

But it's expected to be cheated on by guys like Kody so I shouldn't be surprised or hurt but I do hurt, I hurt a little bit more every day that he pretty much ignores me.

"Allen...Allen!" A voice forced me out of my head and I blinked a little before looking at the female who spoke. "Ah sorry, what were you saying?" I asked and Violet sighed, someone who I managed to become friend with while Kody was off somewhere else. 

"Are you okay? You have been spacing out a lot here lately." She asked and I chuckled before nodding, "I'm fine." I simply said.

Violate looked at me like I was dumb, "Do I look stupid or blind to you?" She asked and I shook my head, "I can tell you're thinking about something and that something has to deal with Kody, right?" She question. 

I looked at her with surprise, "Are you a mind reader?" I asked and she laughed, "No, just a worried friend. Tell me what's going on." She explained and I sighed.

"Ever since the accident with Damien at the mall, Kody has not been himself. He has been more on guard, a dick towards Damien, but he has also become distant. He barely talks to me, when I ask him if he wants to hangout he says he is busy, and he acts like he wants nothing to do with me." I explained and Violet hummed in thought. 

"I am honestly beginning to think that he's cheating on me." I added and she gasped. "Cheating on you? Why would he cheat on you?" She asked.

I only shrugged, "I don't know but it is kind of expected from guys like Kody don't you think?" I asked and she stared at me for a second before nodding.

 With a sigh she pulled me into a hug, "It's gonna be okay, if we find out he is cheating on you, I'll personally put bleach in his cereal." She said comfortingly which made me laugh. "As long as we do it together, I am totally fine with that."

Third period came along and yes, Kody was in it but so was Violet thankfully but I noticed she was watching him like a hawk but I didn't think too much about it. "Alright class, this will be another partner worksheet so hurry up and get a partner." The male teacher said once the bell rung. 

I turned to look at Kody who seemed to have a partner already and he glanced at me with an almost sorry look on his face and I rolled my eyes, walking over to Violet. "He usually picks you to be his partner." She stated as I sat down next to her. "Yeah...I know." I muttered angrily, sighing as the teacher passed out the paper we were going to work on.

Violet and I began to work on the worksheet before I heard the familiar sound of a message notification go off from Kody's phone, out of curiosity I glanced over to see what he was doing and I saw that smile. The smile he only uses when I text him, who else is making him smile like that? Who else could it be?

These questions continued to work themselves into my head as Violet continued to explain how we would solve the problem and she could tell I was a little distracted so she paused her talking and looked at me. "Hey, we will sort this out okay?" She said and I nodded, "Yeah, okay." I said softly and we got back to work.

I heard a chair move across the floor and footsteps move towards me before I smelt Kody's chalone as he walked past, taking in a deep breath as the comforting scent filled my nose and let it go, trying my best to focus on what is to be done but it wasn't working out.

I looked up and watched as the white-haired male walked out of the classroom after asking the teacher about something, shaking my head as I tried not to think about the worst scenarios on why he was leaving the room.

Soon enough the bell rung and Kody had yet to be back so I sighed and grabbed his things before walking out of the classroom, looking around the halls to see if I could find the male, ready to give up before I caught a glimpse of the white hair that stood out among the crowd before he disappeared around the corner. 

I stood there for a second trying to figure out why he was going into the closed hallway - a hallway that they were fixing and turned the corner shortly after he did. It was rather confusing to see Kody knock on a door very quietly to one of the empty classrooms in the hallway before seeing the door open.

I could feel my heart slowly break as a hand reached out with red painted nails and place itself on his cheek and his own reaching out and resting on the other person's hips just like he used to do to me. 

I watched as he walked into the room and closed the door without looking back, I stood there for what seemed like forever trying to process what I had just seen happen before me. 

Was he cheating? 

He has to be, the way he acted when he saw the other person that opened the door was the exact way he used to act with me when he saw me. A noise snapped me out of my daze, it sounded like a very girly giggle before hearing some voices coming from the room.

It was like my feet moved on their own and walked me over to the door, listening to the voices from the other side, one of which was Kody's and the other was a female's voice, females are only allowed during lunch and if they are able to get into the schooling program which so far this year has been Violet.

There was a small window in the door but it was covered up by a grey sheet of paper which was rather disappointing since that meant my only option was to open the door.

I took in a deep breath and turned the handle of the door and opened it, the door sadly creaking slightly as it opened but that didn't distract anyone from what they were doing.

"Kody..." I said aloud, not meaning too but it seemed to make him realize what he was doing. He was shirtless while the female's panties were on the floor at his feet and he turned to see who had said his name and my eyes widened when I saw who it was. 

"Scarlet?" I asked and she looked away with a guilty expression, "What the hell is going on?" I questioned, anger and heartbreak filling my voice as I spoke. "I-I..." Kody began to say but stopped and shut his mouth. "Is this what you have been doing for the past month? Fucking Scarlet behind my back?" I asked, watching as both Scarlet and Kody looked at the ground.

I scoffed when Kody nor Scarlet answered me and rolled my eyes, "This might have been going on the whole time we were 'dating', I was made a fool of. That's just great. Thank you for making me feel like a worthless piece of shit Kody." I said as the tears fell down my face and his eyes widened at my words.

With a sharp turn on my heels, I walk away from the duo and out of the room while they both called my name but I wasn't able to get far enough away from the two quick enough when my arm was suddenly grabbed and from the tight of the grip I already knew it was Kody.

Without even thinking about it I turned around real quick and a loud smack was heard as my hand came in contact with Kody's cheek, Scarlet gasping in shock and Kody let go of me, "I'm sorry." Is all that came from his lips.
