Chapter Seven: Scarlett

Yes I know the song has a different story to tell but still...it's a great song. Also here is another chapter for y'all. I wrote this chapter in less than one day. Finished it before midnight.)

"Allen," Kody said in a softer and more caring voice, "What's the matter? What happened in the nightmare?" He then asked. I shake my head as I tried to wipe the tears that were falling down my face but they just wouldn't stop, "I-I can't..." I started to say but got choked up by my sobbing.

Kody waited patiently as I cried and after a while he took my face in between his hands as he cupped my cheeks, wiping some of the tears as he made me look at him.

"It was just a nightmare, it wasn't real." The male says gently and for some reason it's like all of the fear and anxiety and shock just lifted off of my shoulders as he looked deeply into my eyes. I somehow felt relaxed. "Try and relax and calm down." Kody said.

I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to try and calm down while Kody said soothing things to me in a soft voice. After a few minutes, my breathing slowed back down to normal with small hiccups here and there, the tears stopped, and I started to relax my muscles.

When I opened my eyes, beautiful blue ones met my hazle ones and I instantly relaxed even more. "Are you okay now?" Kody questioned and I nodded, swallowing hard.

After of me just string at the male like an idiot, I nodded a few times to answer his question and he seemed to relax, "Yeah I'm okay now..." I muttered after a few seconds. Kody nodded before letting go of my face with a small sigh, "That's good." He said quietly before he turned and got up from the bed.

I am pretty sure I wasn't seeing things but as Kody turned away from me, it looked like a light blush was dusted over his cheeks. "I'm going to get in the shower. If you need clothes we could stop by your place to get some." He stated, without meeting eye contact, before walking in the bathroom and shutting the door.

Even with all the willpower I had, I could not help but smile slightly at the fact that the male couldn't, or wouldn't, meet eye contact with me as he spoke.

Once I heard the door lock, I grabbed my phone and texted my older brother since he had a key if he could bring me some clothes in a bit. He said yes of course. I just sit there on my phone being bored as hell since Kody was taking forever in the shower.

While Kody was in the shower, the door bell rang and I walked downstairs thinking it was my mother but when I opened the door I saw a younger and sexier female. 

Her long dark brown hair fit her perfectly as well as her Light hazel brown eyes - her best feature in my opinion. The woman's lips were just perfect and had a nude lipstick color on them that fit her skin tone well and her smile brightened up her face beautifully.

"Hello!" She said in a polite and silky smooth way, her voice sounding like an angels. "Is Kody home?" She then asked as she walked inside. I am guessing she was a good friend of Kody's if she just waltz inside the house. "U-um yeah he is...but h-he's in the shower..." I answer but with a stutter.

My stutter made her look at me and smile some more before walking extremely close to me, the faint smell of her rosy perfume filled my nose she was so close. The female then grabbed my cheeks and smashed them together a little bit, ignoring my blush.

"You are the cutest little thing I have ever met. Except for dogs and kittens of course." She stated cheerfully before pulling my face closer. I watched her eyes explore my face a little bit and she gasped, "You got freckles! That makes you even more adorable!" She said, almost squealing in the process.

A deep chuckle fills the room and we both freeze, just then did I realize the one; whoever this friend of Kody's is taller than me and two; Kody had probably watched most of what had happened. "Oh hey Kody!" She greeted with an upbeat tone like earlier, still not letting go of my face. "Hi Scarlett." He said with a small sigh as he walked over and literally pulled me from her and held me protectively against his chest.

Scarlett stopped and her smile fell from her face into a straight line and she pursed her lips together in thought as she looked at Kody and then back at me and then back at Kody and finally back at me once again. "Are you two...a..." Scarlett asked as she pointed two fingers at us.

Before Kody could answer, I covered his mouth with my hand and shook my head and pushed him off of me. "No we're not. I'm straight and he is just annoying me." I explained but I was sure my flustered face told a different story.

Scarlett just stared for a few more seconds before nodding slowly, "Okay..." SHe said before grabbing a notepad from her bag and wrote a few words down. 

"So Kid, what's your name?" She asked.

As I opened my mouth to speak, Kody spoke first, "His name is Allen. Moving on," Kody said and to me, he sounded like he was irritated or jealous about something. "What is with your unexpected visit Scarlett?" Kody asked in an ice cold tone that sent shivers down my back and goosebumps appear on my skin.

She only smiled in return, "To bring back your 'things' that you left after my party about a month ago." She answered, handing a small plastic bag to him. I watched as he raised an eyebrow slightly as he peeked into the bag and smirked before looking at me with the same look. "WHy the hell are you looking at me like that for?" I asked and he turned his back before walking off.

Dick.

"It's whole bunch of sex toys." I hear Scarlett say and I looked at her with some shock and disgust written all over my face. She began laughing at my reaction and I swear I could listen to her laugh all damn day.

Sure, I thought that Scarlett was hot but for some reason, I felt a small amount of guilt for think just a small thought. 

She shook her head and I frowned a little, finally catching on that she was just joking. Maybe. "I was just joking Allen, don't get you straightness in a twist." She said once her laughter had stopped a few minutes later. I rolled my eyes as a smile tugged at my lips once again, I wasn't able to help the smile from coming to my face.

We didn't get a chance to say anything else since we could hear Kody making his way back downstairs - where Scarlett and I currently were. 

"Can we migrate to the couch? I am getting tired of standing." Kody asked and without another word we all sat down on the couch.

Scarlet examined me a bit before writing a few more things down on her notepad thing and I started to become curious on what she is doing. Kody sat next to me while Scarlett sat across from us, making me roll my eyes as I felt the couch cushion sink a little next to me.

After a few minutes of extremely tense silence, I decided to speak up, "So Scarlett, what kind of music do you listen to?" I asked, noticing her shirt had Labrinth on the front of it. 

The two of us quickly became friends since Scarlett watched and listened to most of what I did, we did have a few disagreements about what female singers and actors were the most sexy or just plain out ugly.

I could feel the jealousy and irritation just radiating from Kody and I could tell he was going to snap at any moment but this was the least of my worries while having a conversation with Scarlett. "yeah I think Emma Thompson is pretty sexy herself." Scarlett said in a matter-of-fact kind of tone.

I nodded in agreement, "I think so too. Her singing voice is also amazing as well as her bo-" Before I could finish my sentence my face was grabbed and turned before I felt another pair of lips on mine.

The kiss itself only lasted about ten seconds before the male pulled away and let go of my face and I immediately lean back away from him. "W-what was that for?!" I asked, almost yelling as I put the back of my hand to my lips and over my cheeks to hide my dark blush. Kody growled and leaned in close to my face, just an inch or so away from me.

"You're mine~"
