It was around 1 a.m. you didn't even think you'd be getting an answer at this hour, but after the third ring you heard the familiar voice on the other end of the phone. "Inspector Zenigata." He stated. Hearing his voice again made your heart swell "Koichi!" You called out his first name, not hiding your happiness to hear him. "How are you doing?" "Y/n," he let out a relieved sigh for it to be you "I'm doing alright, still working on catching that crook Lupin and his little gang, as usual" You let out a hum as he explained. You knew that he would be at this for a while, and you did see him every once in a while it was rare enough. "I see, I know how important it is for you to catch Lupin, and I'm not saying stop, but just know that I miss you, a lot, Koichi." You said softly. You heard slight shuffling in the background and heard another sigh from your husband. "I know, Y/n." He said. He almost sounded sad. You were sure he had a frown on his face. "I miss you too. A lot more than you could imagine. I'll see you again when I can, but I just need to do this." You giggled a bit, you were always admired by his drive to work, even if it meant being separated like this. "I know, Koichi." You said. "I love you. Ok?" You said softly. "I love you too, Y/n." "Good, now hurry and catch Lupin so you can come home and be in my arms again."
