Summary:
Lupin has to take care of his girlfriend after she gets injured. Who knew the elusive thief, Lupin could be so sickly sweet?

Being injured was no fun, everyone knew that. And when doing things like sports, especially very physical ones, there was always a risk of one. But did that stop you? Of course not!
During a roller derby game, unfortunately you had broken your leg. Nothing about it was fun, you wanted to cry. Both from the pain and embarrassment. But your teammates helped you out and you stuck it out. Oh, and of course your boyfriend, Lupin. He currently was helping out with most day to day activities which you appreciated a lot.
"How's pops?" You asked as Lupin passed you a plate of pancakes as he plopped down on the sofa next to you in his boxers and tank top.
"He hasn't contacted you?" Lupin asked softly as you ate your pancakes, cutting a piece before placing it in your mouth. You shook your head softly. He let out a sigh and then sent you a comforting smile
"He's..still pops. Still crazy yet calculated" you hummed and nodded your head, a small frown on your face.
Your father was Inspector Zenigata. Crazy considering your dating Lupin. Your father was so involved in his work, borderline obsessed with catching the thief in question that it put a permanent strain on the the rest of your family. Your mother taking it the worst out of you and your younger sister, Toshiko. Your father made very little contact with you on his own will, it was almost always you that contacted him first. And even then, it was always brief.
Lupin knew about your relationship with your father. He found it humorous that he even loved you with the indirect stress he causes for your family. But he felt bad as well. He's been to more of your games then your own father has. Lupin knew it hurt you, even if you didn't say it.
"But, things are gonna get better once your leg heals," Lupin cut a piece of his pancake and shoved it into his mouth.
"You think so?" He hummed and nodded his head with a goofy smile.
"Trust me, Baby," he said "I know it" he kissed your cheek and you let out a small giggle. Lupin never ceased to cheer you up, and amaze.

After a good month or two, your leg was all healed up, most of that was extra time off, but now you were back in the game, and boy were you excited to do so. While you got ready for your game, Lupin had some business to take care of. You assumed it was another heist, and you wished him luck, he showed up to a good majority of your games, so him missing one didn't bother you. Plus, he said if all went well he'd be able to come see. So, you went on your way and he went on his.

Lupin patiently sat in his seat in the crowd, the metal folding chair not being the most comfortable, but that wasn't his number one priority as of right now. He glanced to the right and smiled.
"Pops! Right on time!" Lupin laughed seeing Inspector Zenigata.
"Lupin!" He spoke up "This is a rather odd location for you to meet up with me, but that doesn't matter! You're coming with me-"
"Actually." Lupin cleared his throat and had a more serious tone. "You're not here for me" he put emphasis on "me", which Zenigata then glanced around
"Then who am I here for?" Zenigata asked "Jigen? Goemon? Fujiko?"
"Tell me pops," Lupin ignored his question "Do you recognize where you are?"
"Not really."
"Exactly," Lupin sighed and motioned for Zenigata to have a seat next to him. Zenigata hesitated, but sat down.  "Now, you have no idea what you're doing here. But I do. And this isn't about me, this is about you and your family." Zenigata tensed up slightly, but let Lupin speak. "You have a family, pops. And you need to be there for them. Your relationship with me? That won't go away. I'm always gonna be the Elusive Lupin the Third. But your family? That's different. You gotta start paying more attention to your family, starting now"
"Well that's all nice and dandy, but I still don't understand why were at a roller derby arena"
"Oh, you'll see soon, Pops" the two sat in silence for a bit, but you couldn't believe your eyes when you saw Lupin and your dad, Zenigata in the audience. You smiled widely and waved at the two before recollecting with your team. Zenigata was in shock but waved back.
"How did you-"
"Yeah, pops, I have my ways" Lupin wouldn't tell him the two of you are dating just yet. He was sure Zenigata would freak out.
You on the other hand were so happy, unsure if Lupin dragged him here, or he came on his own free accord, that didn't matter to you right now. Maybe, just maybe, some changes were happening. And you couldn't smile any wider.
