Since San and Wooyoung talked on Friday, on Monday, San wakes up a little earlier than usual. He doesn't want his mom to notice he took so many roses from their garden. He knows it'll be hard to not get caught since she has to drive him to school, but he's sure he can make it up to his room and hide the roses in his backpack before she notices.
But he thought too soon... Just as he walks in, holding the roses, and is about to rush to his room, his mom is already in the living room.
"Sannie, why did you get up so early?" She asks him and notices the roses. "And who are those roses for?" She raises an eyebrow. "You're a little too young to have a girlfriend, don't you think?"
"Oh, they're just..." San tries to come up with a lie. "They're for Yunho... He likes a girl and asked me if I could give him some flowers to give to her. He offered to pay me, but I told him it's fine." He lies. "It's fine, right?"
"Wow, his mother lets him date at such a young age?" She shakes her head and smiles. "But yes, it's fine. Just as long as it doesn't happen again. The garden is lacking enough roses."
"They'll grow back." San shrugs. "But Yunho won't always have the chance to confess to the girl, will he?"
"You're right." She nods. "Well, then... it's okay. He can take as many as he wants. Tell him it's fine with me."
"Thanks mom." San smiles before rushing upstairs to his room to get ready for school.

When San gets to school, he nervously holds the roses in his hands as he looks around, looking for Wooyoung.
The biggest smile forms on his face when he sees him walking into the school.
"San!" A big smile forms on Yunho's face when he sees him, but instead, San rushes over to Wooyoung, not seeing Yunho.
"Wooyoung... hey." San feels his face heat up. "These are for you." He reaches the roses out for him to take.
Wooyoung looks down at them and smiles as everyone's attention is on him and San.
"I think he's asking him out." Yunho hears behind him, which makes him frown.
"I mean... they're for your grandma." San clarifies. "You said she really likes roses, so."
"Thank you, Sannie." Wooyoung takes the roses from him and San blushes at the nickname.
Only Yunho has ever called him that, but it feels different when Wooyoung says it.
"And thanks for hearing me out yesterday. I really needed someone to talk to. Sorry if I bored you."
"No, of course not. You didn't." San shakes his head. "So if you ever need someone to talk to again, just know that I'm here, okay?"
"Same goes to you then. I'm always here to listen."
San just looks down and smiles, trying to hide the blush on his cheeks. "So how's your grandma?" He looks up at him after a few seconds.
"You were right." Wooyoung tells him. "I've tried staying positive and it looks like she's getting better. She's not asleep all the time, she's talking to me more, and she even got up from her bed yesterday. We had dinner together."
"Really? That's amazing, Woo." San smiles at him. "I'm sure she'll be healthier than ever in no time. So don't worry too much, okay?"
"Thank you, San." Wooyoung nods. "I actually- I hadn't had a friend before... but just in these few days, it looks like you're the bestest friend I'll probably ever have."
As they're talking, San notices Yunho walk out of the school. "Well, I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay." Wooyoung nods. "Thanks for the roses. My grandma will love them."
San just nods and smiles before rushing out of the school to catch up with Yunho.
"Yunho!" He yells at him since it looks like he hasn't seen him. "Yunho!" San takes his arm.
"Oh, hi San. Didn't see you there." He fakes a smile.
"Are you sure that's what it was?" San asks him. "You've been a little distant lately."
"Me? Not at all." He shakes his head. "I actually called out for you earlier, but I guess you didn't notice."
"When?" San asks, confused. "I didn't see you, I promise." He frowns. "I would never ignore you."
Yunho just nods and looks down.
"Yunho, come on..." San frowns. "Don't be mad at me. You're my best friend." He takes his hands. "I know I've been a little... different lately. And I guess I'm the one who's been a little distant... but I promise I'll stop. I wouldn't want us to fight over this."
Yunho turns to look at San and sees him pouting. For some reason, he can never stay mad at him when he makes that face, and San knows it.
Yunho playfully rolls his eyes and smiles. "Okay, fine. I should be a little more understanding too. I mean... your crush noticed you, so it's obvious you're acting a little different."
"Thanks for understanding! You're the best!" San pulls him in for a hug and rests his head on his shoulder.
